Our sunny Sunday adventure led us to Cypress Waterfalls in BC, and what a day it was! Hiking with friends was a blast, and this trail was just right – short, easy, and full of natural beauty. The round-trip to the falls spanning about 3 km made for a perfect hour-long trek.
The highlight? The falls, of course! Nature's spectacle, the cascading water was a sight to behold. But what added magic to the hike was the small stream on the way back. We paused there for a lunch break, and the stream's vivid green hue was absolutely breathtaking.
This trail isn't just about the falls; it's about the journey. The lush surroundings, chirping birds, and the serene atmosphere made the hike a memorable experience. Plus, taking a breather by that stunningly vibrant stream was a picture-perfect moment. Cypress Waterfalls is a gem for an easy yet enchanting hike amidst...
Read moreBeautiful park with many many hiking trails. We hiked to the upper falls and passed many smaller falls on our way up the gorge. You could easily make the hike as easy or difficult as you want, which is great. Lots of forest to look at, massive trees, some that have hollows carved out by lightning, are everywhere. We passed some slackliners that had set up a long highline over the gorge and that was pretty amazing. Makes for a great outing, fun for all ages. Probably not wheelchair accessible, other than a short section at the start, but other than that it's really not too bad, wide trails, well kept, not too rocky, rooty or steep until you hit the upper portion. Parking can be a bit tricky, as there aren't tons of spots, but there are on-street options with a short walk if...
Read moreA great place to see a couple of waterfalls. The lower falls is a short walk from the parking area. The upper falls is a bit of a hike that takes about 30 minutes. After visiting the lower falls continue hiking up the hill and stay west of the river. Do not cross the wooden bridge. After about 20 minutes there will be a fence with a sign saying it is private property. Continue walking about 10-15 minutes. The upper falls is larger than the lower falls. After seeing the upper falls continue up hill to the road and just before the bridge, there is another trail near blue bollards leading to a twin falls just below the bridge. Then return to road and cross a bridge then return to lower falls via the other side of the river passing through some old...
