Forecast Coffee — Restaurant in West Vancouver

While travelling through West Vancouver on May 15, 2025, I stopped by Forecast Coffee to have a coffee and breakfast sandwich to have in-store and start the day off in a good way. I also purchased a 2 lb bag of Expedition coffee beans. After enjoying my coffee and breakfast sandwich, I departed the store and continued on my journey for the day. It wasn’t until I had returned home in the Fraser Valley at the end of the day that I realized I had left the coffee beans on the table in the store. I phoned the store the next morning to explain what I had done the previous day, however, as it was the start of a long weekend, the Manager (Dave) was not available. I messaged Dave, explaining what I had done and hoped that my message and mistake would be received with compassion and asked if the coffee beans could be forwarded to me. Upon opening my Inbox early Tuesday morning, 4 days after the event, a message from Dave was waiting for me, advising that he would be forwarding the coffee beans to me via ExpressPost. I am very pleased to advise the coffee beans have arrived at my home today, Wednesday, May 31, 2025. I ordered a hot latte 8 oz with a flavour shot and I politely asked if I could switch to an iced latte after because I KNOW the barista did not make it yet, and the barista is like oh it’s too late, it’s not made but they only offer iced for 12oz, so I’m like it’s okay it’s fine….. And then she’s like okay I’ll make it for you, but I’m not giving you a lot of milk and please don’t pour more…. It was so so awkward and found it so ridiculous because there were milk containers sitting right there offered to public and it was self serve…… and she’s telling me that I can’t pour an extra splash..

Look at my photo for a reference, it’s literally just a splash extra LOL. This is comical. I respect that everything costs and there’s store policies, but damn you’re limiting an extra splash of milk? Lol. I'm giving 5 stars because the coffee was phenomenal, the breakfast sandwich was delicious and the staff were great. I do have to mention that the older man working in the back making food orders made the otherwise peaceful atmosphere completely awkward and awful by losing his patience on the front staff. I got the sense that he was the owner berating the staff, and that is really not ok. Regardless if he's the owner or a staff member, he should not be speaking down to the sweet ladies working the counter and batista. As a customer having a relaxing atmosphere is very important and I also don't want someone angry making my food. I understand moments happenbut please be aware of the type of work environment you are creating and how the effects...
