We found place to park with little strife Where echoes lingered, once full of life Stone walls stood proud, though time had worn Silent keepers of prayers, long ago sworn

Read moreThe Trappist monastery provincial heritage Park is an extremely beautiful provincial park located in St Norbert, a few kilometres south of Winnipeg.
The monastery was initially constructed in 1903/1904 and was in use until 1978. In 1983 the monastery was sadly gutted by fire. It is now part of the provincial park and is being cared for by the province of Manitoba.

There is plenty of free parking, no admission ticket is required and it is located adjacent to the world peace pagoda as well as the St Norbert arts centre. The park is also...

Hell, had I known in advance that it was happening I may have stayed and paid! Beautiful location for some...
