We were on our way to the zoo and needed a spot for the kids to stretch their legs. This was a 10 minute detour off our route to the zoo but it was exactly what we were looking for.
The park is small but the view is really nice. It's perfect for a quick snack or picnic lunch with a few picnic tables and some grass.
The kids were disappointed there wasn't any playground equipment but they thoroughly enjoyed throwing rocks into the mud, it made a really satisfying "splat" .The tide was out while we were there. At the entry to the park there was a tide schedule.

Read moreA stunning piece of land. A piece of world heritage and a pride of Canada. This waterfront park leads to trails that illustrate some of the world's most intense tides. Had the pleasure of visiting when the tide was out and it seemed unearthly. Hard to believe that the water would come all the way up to where we were.
There's a deep history to this land. The Acadians sought to be a farming people, reclaiming the land from the ocean, in this area. It is rich with the dykes that signify their struggle to create a new life.
