The Overall Park ist huge, and contains a lot of attractions auch als slides, a Party/beach-like area etc. However, for the average European/Western family with little children that can already swim well be aware about looming disappointment potential: below 12y and even if above 1.5m all children have to wear swim vests which in our case led to a lot of frustration. Many cool slides have precise rules (being enforced very strictly) about size and weight of people, also in combination/for slides where two people to ride together are mandatory. Tickets being cheaper after 4pm and where 1 adult can take in a child for free are not shown on xiecheng/ctrip so better go to the official website or check the ticket booth at the entrance. Ice cream is still way below Western/European standard and not worth it. Better bring your own food. Staff are (despite the rules they have to enforce and which clearly are made for a nation where most can not swim) however very friendly, and help with tubes etc. Do avoid weekends and holidays. From the metro station it was an acceptable 15min walk (even with kids) and there is no need to take any of the annoying drivers from there. There should be a free shuttle bus but that was not the case when...

Rules are pretty confusing, if you are with about 6-8 year old child, there is hard to find place go together, child is too short or you are too heavy. Confusing rules. Naturally as this is mainland Chinese place, be prepared on finger pointing and long stares. Locals are also behaving by the local rules so be ready for 'some' cultural behavior differences. Price and quality overall not in good match. List of things what you can't do is mile long, be warned and...

Went during the week and found the park was fairly empty. The adrenaline type rides can't be faulted although everything else is a little boring.
The spooky tunnel thing, for example was fairly silly to walk through as was the 3D ride, which takes you into the future.
Otherwise, easily accessible by subway and worth a visit if you just want to do the big things over a couple hours. If I had to go back, I'd pack a lunch because the food is both expensive and...
