Fantastic beach with a great view, and not many visitors. The only drawback is the lack of nearby cafes, and the noisy road just behind you. The area marked out for swimming is huge, and the bus stop is right on the beach (be aware that the bus stop to go back into the city is actually up a long set of stairs)

Bathroom facilities are good, and there were lifeguard towers on the beach, although they weren't in use the day I visited (in the middle of winter)

The best part of this beach is watching the sailing school go out in their little boats - the view is really gorgeous. From here, you can walk along the coast, away from the road, to get to repulse bay beach, or in the other direction, to get back...

Nice quiet stretch of sand with public toilets, lifeguards and Thai (Coconuts Thai) and Italian (Lido) restaurant. Connected to Wan Chai (Queens Road East) by bus no 6A, 6X (going back, the last bus leaves Stanley market for Central by 6:30pm, so make sure you’re at the Island Road bus stop by at least 6:20pm). You can also take the green minibus no.40 (Causeway Bay to Stanley). There’s a sea view promenade that connects to Repulse Bay Beach (which is far more busy and noisy). Great place to spend a lazy afternoon and water is...

Know before you go, there is no actual food on the beach. There is a small place that has drinks and some snacks but it is very limited as they don't have a chef staffed (At least the day we went)(Monday). But they did have the best berry mojitos! And I love mojitos. The beach was calm and relaxing with not many people there. The water is calm as well and there is floating platforms in the water to lay out on or jump from. Worth a stop. Especially if you are looking for a break from the hectic city life. Don't forget to...

This good stretch of beach is located right by the busy Island Road. Public parking is relatively abundant in HK standard. However, parking in those metered spot could be a challenge, especially at night and you are a lone driver. You literally have to stop both sides of the traffic before you could pull out. The beach itself is fine, water pretty clear (in Dec when I filmed) and sand soft and clean. Along with the barbecue area next to it, deep water bay is a "hot spot" during summer season.
