Hong Kong Park was exactly what I needed—a quiet, green escape right in the middle of the city. With all the noise and movement around Central, I honestly didn’t expect to find a space this peaceful. The second I walked in, it felt like the energy shifted. There were trees, waterfalls, koi ponds, and little walking paths that made me slow down and just breathe. One of the best parts was the aviary. I wasn’t expecting to spend much time there, but once inside, it felt like I was in a rainforest. Birds were flying freely all around, and you could hear the sounds of nature echoing above the city noise. It really made me stop and take in how much life exists even in a place like Hong Kong. The park is surprisingly big—you can explore gardens, a conservatory filled with tropical plants, a tea museum in an old colonial building, and little sitting areas tucked away in quiet corners. I took my time, walked slow, and just enjoyed being surrounded by greenery for a bit. It’s the kind of place that reminds you to pause. What I loved: – The contrast of nature against the skyline—surreal but beautiful – The aviary and how immersive it felt – It was free, easy to get to, and didn’t feel overly touristy – A perfect reset if you’re looking for peace while in the city If you’re in Hong Kong and need a break from the rush, this park is 100% worth the visit. I went in with no expectations and left feeling grounded and refreshed.

This park is a hidden gem in Hong Kong. I often surprised how few people know this park even exists! If you're looking for a quick getaway from all the hustle and bustle of the city, this is your destination. The park is massive and I personally find it much more beautiful than its counterpart, the Kowloon park across the harbor. If this park was any larger, I'm sure it would be competing for the top parks globally. Watch out Central Park! This park contains an aviary and conservatory for exotic birds and plants from around the world. Our kids love visiting the aviary and they refuse to leave the fully equipped playground set once they start monkeying around. The park is usually not so busy, compared to the rest of Hong Kong, and is a perfect place for a evening stroll with the family. I'm unsure about the dog policies here, but we've walked our dog here multiple times and nobody complains.

Nestled in the hustle and bustle of the central business district, Hong Kong Park, which covers an area of about 8 hectares, is a tranquil green oasis. The park, which opened in 1991, is just across the HK Shangri-la Hotel on Cotton Tree Drive and about a 10-minute walk from the Admiralty MTR Station. It is a beautifully landscaped park with an artificial lake and waterfall. There were hardly any tourists when we were there on a weekday morning. The Conservatory and Aviary, which are free, are well maintained. There is also a quiet Tai Chi Corner for practitioners of tai chi to exercise. There is an Olympic Square and also a very sober Sars memorial in honor of the fallen heroes during that very dark period in Hong Kong. It's definitely a must visit. The tram to the Peak is about a 5-minute walk from the park.

Even though I walk pass this place so many times, I didn't take the time to really look around. Today I was more than pleasantly surprised! First off, the water fall was not new but taking time to enjoying it was actually really nice area to walk around. The whole environment was really nice, especially when you walk up the stairs and go behind the water fall, enjoy the view, look at views and listen to sound of water fall. For moment, you seems to forget you're in middle of a busy city. At the sunset time, there were particularly many types of birds gather, which you would normally never seen in HK. The place super clean and have alot of chairs to and places to sit down. Well worth to take a look.

Definitely a great place and decent park to explore in such a busy, fast pace in the central of Hong Kong Island during the lunch break. The Hong Kong Park is located in central business district and surrounded by commerical skyscrapers, also with the only tramways leads to the Victoria Park. There are also quite a lot sightseeing spots and facilities including artificial lake, clock tower, conservatory, Olympic square, walk through aviary, and large children's playground that you can spend time with for the leisure time in the weekends or for a short break during lunch in weekdays. Please enjoy the sunshine in Hong Kong Park.

On a vibrant Sunday, the adventure to Victoria Peak begins by strolling through the enchanting Hong Kong Park! As you escape the hustle and bustle of Central, you're greeted by this tranquil oasis filled with lush trees and impeccably landscaped scenery. Immerse yourself in the diversity of plant habitats you won't find anywhere else in Hong Kong! Discover the fascinating textures of unique plants, marvel at the shimmering koi dancing in the pond, and listen to the delightful chirping of birds flitting throughout this stunning park. It’s a lovely escape that promises a refreshing experience before reaching the iconic peak!
