Stepping into my Statue Square View Room, I’m immediately captivated by the breathtaking views — the harbour’s serene waters on one side, and the towering skyscrapers housing global financial institutions on the other. A perfect balance of tranquility and energy that defines Hong Kong. Back in the room, exquisite touches of Mandarin Oriental’s signature designs abound, from the embroidered Fan logo slippers to the carefully curated decor and thoughtful little gifts waiting to be discovered. Even the ice bucket, crafted in the shape of an ancient Chinese three-legged "Ding" 鼎, reflects the brand’s dedication to cultural elegance. The mini-bar, elegantly tucked away inside the cupboard, holds an array of delights — snacks, drinks and glassware — all neatly concealed yet easily accessible. For coffee lovers, a Nespresso machine and Bonaqua mineral water in elegant glass bottles are provided, ensuring a refreshing experience. The bathroom, with its timeless design, offers everything one could need. Luxurious Diptyque amenities elevate every shower into a fragrant delight, leaving a lingering sensation of opulence. With exclusive Mandarin Club access, my stay becomes even more indulgent. A private check-in welcomes me with a refreshing drink, setting the tone for an extraordinary experience. Located on the 23rd floor, the 6,200-square-foot Mandarin Club is a sanctuary of contemporary luxury fused with oriental charm. Spacious lounge areas offer stunning views over Statue Square Garden, while bespoke services ensure a seamless experience throughout the day. Gourmet delights await — from a delectable breakfast spread with Western and Asian selections, to the charming afternoon tea, featuring warm scones served with the signature Mandarin Rose Petal Jam. The evening brings canapés accompanied by an impressive selection of Champagne, wines, bottled cocktails, house spirits, and beer. For those seeking an all-day indulgence, a variety of tea, coffee, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages are readily available. Even the washrooms add a touch of elegance, with perfume provided for ladies, ensuring a refreshing experience at every turn. As the night falls, I sip Champagne, soaking in the mesmerizing cityscape, enjoying intimate conversations with friends in an ambiance that feels truly enchanting. A thoughtful turn-down service completes the day, with Mandarin Soothing Balm adding to the hotel’s signature oriental essence. Waking up to another breathtaking morning, I gaze out at the city’s modern masterpieces, The Henderson, an architectural gem that embodies innovation and elegance. The Mandarin Club breakfast is a feast of choices, with buffet selections spanning Western and Asian cuisines. Guests can order Egg Benedict, Egg Royal, Egg Florentine, Laksa, Wonton Noodles, Waffles, and Pancakes, expertly prepared by the chef. For business travellers, the boardroom and mini-office facilities are available upon request, offering a quiet space for meetings and productivity. Throughout the hotel, embroidered ancient Chinese costumes, featuring imperial dragon motifs, act as artistic decorations, reinforcing the Mandarin Oriental’s cultural narrative. The luxurious Mandarin Spa, complete with a rooftop indoor swimming pool, is designed for ultimate relaxation. Healthy fruits and energizing snacks ensure guests feel revitalized after their spa retreat. The pool, enhanced with a heating system, underwater music, and a natural sunlight roof, provides a sensory escape. In the ladies' changing room, hot stone benches, Zen-inspired background music, sauna, steam room, and massage showers create an immersive wellness experience. A truly pampering city escape immersion, Mandarin carries the spirit of the city for those seeking an elevated experience. An elegant fusion of cultural heritage and modern indulgence in one of the world’s most iconic hotels. It’s been a journey through design, culture, and the timeless charm of Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, where heritage meets modernity, and tradition intertwines with innovation.

Stay Dates: 20th–22nd March & 29th March–2nd April 2025 During my recent trip through Asia, I had the pleasure of staying at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, and it quickly became one of the standout highlights of the journey. Perfectly situated in the heart of Central Hong Kong, this iconic property offers seamless access to everything the city has to offer — from upscale shopping and cultural landmarks to the hustle and vibrancy of local markets. From the moment we arrived at the airport, the service was flawless. We were met at the gate and guided all the way to our private car for a smooth transfer directly to the hotel. Every part of the arrival process was handled with such finesse that it immediately set the tone for a truly exceptional stay. We had the privilege of experiencing two of the hotel’s signature suites, and both were nothing short of spectacular. Spacious, beautifully appointed, and offering sweeping views over the city skyline and Victoria Harbour, the suites were both luxurious and remarkably homely — a rare combination that made it difficult to leave. The staff throughout the property were attentive, helpful, and reliable, consistently going above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and well cared for. It’s clear that guest experience is at the very heart of this hotel’s philosophy — at times, we truly felt as if we were the most important guests staying there. The amenities are what you’d expect from a world-class property and then some. The spa, gym, and leisure facilities are superb, and the Mandarin Club Lounge is a standout in its own right — offering an elegant, stylish setting and a daily selection of exquisite food and beverages. We also dined at two of the hotel’s restaurants, and both experiences were outstanding — the culinary quality is consistent across the board. A very special thank you goes to Coco Chey, the Club Manager, whose professionalism, warmth, and incredible attention to detail left a lasting impression. She ensured every part of our stay was memorable and comfortable, and her efforts truly elevated the entire experience. For the level of service, comfort, and overall experience, I can confidently say that the stay was worth every penny. If you’re considering a visit to Hong Kong and are looking to make it truly unforgettable, I can’t recommend the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong highly enough.

A Five-Star Experience Like No Other – Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong Our recent stay at Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were met with warm hospitality and world-class service that elevated our entire trip. Initially, we only intended to drop off our luggage at 10 AM, as our check-in time wasn’t until the afternoon. To our surprise, the hotel generously offered us a super early check-in—a thoughtful gesture that immediately set the tone for the rest of our stay. We were ushered into a spacious room with a breathtaking harbor view, tastefully adorned with Oriental-inspired elegance that radiated charm and timeless luxury. A pair of binoculars even sat by the window, inviting us to soak in the sweeping harbor scenery—a beautiful and unexpected detail. What truly made our experience unforgettable, though, was the exceptional service from the hotel’s team. We were warmly greeted by Karl Maglana, the Senior Guest Services Officer, who was nothing short of amazing. Patient, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable, Karl kindly answered our many questions about where to go and what to see around the city. He even offered to give us a personal tour of the hotel’s amenities, making us feel like VIP guests from start to finish. We also received outstanding service from Arnold, one of the hotel’s bellboys. Not only was he polite and efficient, but he also went the extra mile by guiding us on how to get around the city and offering tips on the best routes to our destinations. It's rare to find someone so genuinely helpful and proactive. And to top it all off, we were lucky to be assisted by Peter Fu, the Hotel Manager, after I accidentally left some personal belongings behind. Peter personally ensured they were safely secured and even arranged for a friend of mine to collect the items, beautifully packed in an elegant organza see-through pouch. It’s this kind of thoughtful attention that truly separates the Mandarin Oriental from the rest. Everything about our stay—from the elegance of the room to the genuine warmth of the staff—was extraordinary. I love every detail. I love the service. I love the warm welcome and accommodating staff. Thank you, Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, for making this stay unforgettable. We’ll absolutely be back.

I recently stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Hong Kong for three nights, combining business and leisure, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of mesmerizing. From the moment I arrived at the airport, where their private car service picked me up, assisted with my luggage, and offered cold refreshments, I knew I was in for a treat. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was greeted by the friendly staff and escorted to my room for an in-room check-in. They had everything ready according to my preferences, which made me feel incredibly welcomed. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the welcoming gifts to the breathtaking view, delicate robes, and soft bed sheets. And yes, the bathtub is truly one of a kind! The service at the Mandarin Oriental is the epitome of 5-star luxury. Every employee knew how to address me, was aware of my allergies, and was always proactive in their service. The club lounge is perfect for business travelers and those seeking some quiet time, offering breakfast, all-day refreshments, cocktails (including all-day champagne), meeting rooms, and a dedicated concierge staff. Sameer, in particular, was extraordinary. His customer service goes above and beyond; he is attentive, charismatic, and has an amazing eye for detail. If you use the club lounge, look for him—he will make a difference in your stay. I also took advantage of the salon, spa, and gym, all of which were well-equipped and offered a wide variety of products and services suitable for the hotel. On my last day, I dined at The Aubrey restaurant, and I was told I couldn’t leave without trying their Negronis. I’m glad I did! The food was amazing, the service was once again extraordinary, and the Negroni was the best I’ve ever had. To top it off, The Aubrey is one of the most Instagrammable places I’ve seen. Mandarin Oriental, you did it again. The Hong Kong location truly deserves a 10/10 score. I look forward to my next visit!

Staying at the MO in Hong Kong was something we had been looking forward to for a long time due to its history and iconic status in HK culture. Delighted to say it did not disappoint and lived up to the anticipation. This was mainly because of so many of the staff went out of their way to make our family/leisure stay (18 month old baby) so special when they have so much business clientele. I will focus on things the 1000s of other reviews may not have picked up. - Sauna/Steam/Jacuzzi open from 6am daily. Always had the whole space to myself - Buffet breakfast was less good that a la carte (both included) especially from a family perspective- table service, hot food, eggs felt better quality. - Peter Wu was the duty manager and went above and beyond to make us happy. Came to our room several times, he gave us his details to contact- can’t speak highly enough about him. - baby milk via housekeeping/room service was charged (£7gbp per cup). In other MOs this isn’t charged. - concierge- great. - went to both Aubrey and Man Wah. I thought the duck at Man Wah was great, I loved the table side performance. I wanted Chinese wines by glass which they said wasn’t available- fair enough. Aubrey had a cool vibe. Grateful they accommodated us with our baby and made us feel VIP. Location was great- were able to walk to all places we wanted. Fyi on Sunday there’s a big street party thing which the Concierge said was housekeepers on their day off. So the streets were closed.

Throughout my stay, the team’s intuitive service and attention to detail elevated the experience to an unparalleled level. Every interaction felt personalized, every request met with seamless efficiency, and every moment crafted to perfection.
