It is easy to hike and is a circular route ending also at the starting route. Recently added are wooden plank walkway. Some unique plants are found here.
Kwan Keung ChanKwan Keung Chan
全香港第八高山，高571m。可以由昂坪出發，經過心經簡林及東山法門上山 。上山路段不算太難，有經驗的行山人士可以應付。天氣好的話，沿途可見鳳凰山、大佛、石壁水塘、昂坪市集、以致港珠澳大橋。山頂有直升機坪及大石頭可供休息。沿鐵絲網下山，分岔口有兩條路徑選擇：靠左沿彌勒山郊遊徑可以返回昂坪論，此條路較易行，需時較短，初階行山人士也可以嘗試。另一條路可以選擇昂坪棧道，昂坪救援徑，直落東涌。天氣潮濕或下雨，行此條路線要小心跣腳。這條路線較長，需時較久。沿途風景也不錯，覽車不時在頭頂經過，可與乘客互相揮手致意！路程後段可以看見東涌及港珠澳大橋。此條路線，適合體能較好及有經驗的行山人士。

已到過彌勒山二次了，第一次是2020年5月，第二次是同年8月，記得第一次上彌勒山時，因為天氣太過炎熱又帶備不夠充足糧水，所以未能攻頂需要半途徹離，而於第二次帶有足夠裝備才能成功登頂，我們起步由心經簡林附近跟指示牌至彌勒山郊遊徑入口拾級而上，不久後會見到右手邊有絲帶指引小路徑上山，路徑尚算易走但全程曝曬，沿途風光明媚，感覺十分舒暢，更可遠望大佛🙏，又可望到對面鳳凰山，非常壯觀！到達山頂拍照小休後便原鐵絲網下山，經360纜車站後，沿昂坪棧道下降至東涌步行至東涌港鐵巴士總站乘巴士離開，當天流了很多汗水及非常疲累，但辛苦是值得的。💪💪
