This was SO MUCH PRETTIER THAN THE POPULAR SILVERMINES WATERFALL!!! I highly recommend going here after the silver mine falls because this is not as well known and the cascading effect of this falls is amazing. From the bottom, you can see the cascade and if you climb up a bit more, you’ll see a magnificent sight of the falls that also gives a rush of fresh wind because of the water force. Do bear in mind that I went during the rainy season of august so obviously the water flow is a lot more intense! Accessing this waterfall does take a bit more time because it goes past the silver mine cave and isn’t as obvious to find. My friend and I got kept going uphill so if you find yourself hiking uphill and you’re seeing views of mui Wo below, you’ve probably past it. The exact location is hard to pinpoint but do search up online where people have uploaded the exact path leading to the falls because at one point, you have to turn left towards a muddy path, past pipes and stuff.
Additionally, this waterfall has such refreshing water to bathe in and also very cool rocks to sit on to let you have the water fall on your back. But do be careful as one wrong slip and you might find yourself ‘slipping down into the water and up towards heaven’ as my friend says 😂....

There are pools to swim in, and if you look carefully, when you come to the second pool and the biggest drop, you can see a pathway to the left which will take you up to the very top. Not an easy path, but worth doing. To find the path to the waterfall from the Olympic trail, coming from Mui O, after you have gone past Silver mine Cave, go over the small bridge, follow the trail with the farm on your left. A short distance past the farm you turn left onto a footpath. It sort of goes around the farm land on the left side. After a short distance you will come to the bottom...
