Peaceful and Quiet Beach

I'm so lucky could visited Repulse Bay as most of tour from Indonesia always avoided this place for several reason. Although only given chance to get around for short time, for me enough for satisfied

After arrived at the beach, soon I'm realized Repulse Bay avoided by Chinese tourist too and only able to cater Caucasian tourist. Most of tourist I saw were Caucasian. The main reason was the beach very calm. No sign wave came to beach.

The sand is clean, there wasn't any any waste scattered near the beach. Atmosphere near surrounding was peaceful and quiet. Suitable for forgetting frenzy of Hongkong for a while.

Transportation was limited. Only Taxi and Bus that could be relied.

There were small shopping mall behind the beach, equipped with several restaurant/cafe facing the beach. Mostly offered western food to cater Caucasian tourist.

For those want anti mainstream destination, Repulse Bay is...

Nice little bay with good beaches, although avoid bank holidays as they get packed. Not many facilities but peaceful and nice waters (beware of sudden drop off when going into see especially for small children), there are lifeguard stations most of the time, but do be careful as strong currents. Having said that, it's a good beach for relaxing, although take some sun protection and canopy if you can, as natural shaded areas get busy....to the point that others will happily stand in front of your view if they need the shade! Easy access via car and bus. Sand is small stones and course, so you can easily get grazed if playing sports etc. Example volley ball. Good scenery and nearby...

ผมมากราบเจ้าแม่กวนอิมที่หาดรีพัลล์เบย์ เกาะฮ่องกงครั้งนี้ เป็นครั้งที่ 3 แต่ละครั้งบรรยากาศของสถานที่ก็เปลี่ยนไปทุกครั้ง เนื่องจากการขยายพื้นที่และการตกแต่งเพิ่มเติม. ครั้งนี้น่าจะสมบูรณ์กว่าทุกครั้ง แต่ฝนตกก็เลย ไม่ได้ใช่เวลานานมากนัก…. ด้วยไม่ใช่คนจีนจ๋ามากนัก. ก็เลยไม่ได้จะทำพิธีเข้าคิวไหว้ทั้ง 9 จุด. แต่ก็ไหว้เป็นส่วนใหญ่. ถ้าตามคณะไหว้ไม่ทันก็ไม่ต้องตกใจ คณะหมุนเวียนอยู่ตรงบริเวณนั้นแหละ อาณาเขตมิได้กว้างใหญ่มากนัก ที่นี่สะดวกสบาย ห้องน้ำสะอาด. นักท่องเที่ยวหลักน่าจะเป็นพี่ไทยมากพอๆกับชาวจีนเจ้าของพื้นที่มังครับ เพราะได้ยินเพียงสองภาษาคือภาษาไทย และภาษาจีน. รูปปั้นเจ้าแม่กวนอิม และ เจ้าแม่ทับทิมเทพ. ที่มีขนาดใหญ่มาก. น่าจะเป็นจุดหลักของทุกคน. ที่มุ่งมาขอพร ถือว่าศักดิ์สิทธิมาก. ขอเงินก็ได้ ขอตำแหน่งก็ได้ เรื่องการค้าก็ดี. สมหวังกันถ้วนหน้า. และองค์ท่านก็ประดิษฐ์ฐานบริเวณเหมือนปลายแหลม. มุมมองและบรรยากาศจึงสวยงามมาก. ที่นี่เทพทุกองค์มีการจัดตั้งประดิษฐานตามฮวงจุ้ยทุกองค์ (หลักๆองค์ท่านหันหน้าไปมองทะเล)ทั้งองค์เจ้าแม่กวนอิม(ประทับยืนในชุดสีขาว) เจ้าแม่ทับทิม(ประทับนั่งในชุดสีใบตอง) สิงโต องค์พระสังกัจจายน์(แบบจีน) และเทพต่างๆ อ้อ…มีรูปปั้นปลาด้วย เขาให้อธิษฐานและโยนเหรียญ ผมจำไม่ได้ว่าความหมายคืออย่างใด มีสะพานสีแดงๆโค้งๆให้เดินข้ามด้วย อธิษฐานด้วย(ผมจำไม่ได้อีกเช่นกันว่า ความหมายคืออะไร) เพราะทำบุญไม่มาก ก็เลยไม่ได้ขอพรมากครับ. ขอจากเจ้าแม่ทับทิมกับเจ้าแม่กวนอิมเป็นหลักเลยครับ… (ดูภาพประกอบนะครับ มีเยอะเลย อาจจะมีตัวผมอยู่บ้างบางภาพ...
