i went here last night with my friends. before leaving, i decided to go to the changing room, when i went in, a man with a towel on his neck followed me, i assumed he was going to change his clothes so i didnt think much at first. once got in, i put my stuff on the seating area and looked around the room, while doing so, the man was creepily walking around as well, but i also didnt think much of it since i was kinda doing the same. so i took my clothes and got in one f the changing stalls, in there i can vaguely hear some footstep. i went out and sat back on the seating area to wear my sandals. suddenly the man starts walking towards me and asks (in canto) "are you leaving?" i answered yes. he asked "you wanna play?" and starts slowly trying to grab my hand. i pulled away and said no, then he left. do not go in the changing rooms...

Gay beach. If you are in HK for more than a long weekend, this is a must. It allowed me to have a day of relaxation and to take in the beauty of HK that mostly only locals know. I met other tourists and locals and really enjoyed the water. Sunset was amazing. Then I did the 15 minute walk to the next beach north where there is a mall. I ate dinner and had one of the best pizzas of my life along the boardwalk. This seems to be a ritzy expat place which was interesting. I took Uber each way which converted to about $37 each way and only a 25 min drive. Well worth it for the views and time savings - I met German tourists that spent 2.5 on a bus just...

If you are straight and going to that beach to avoid ppl - It is known as a gay and nudist-ish beach. Saw many gay guys in super minimal underwear there many times, normal ppl avoid it - so you can relax mostly alone or in a company of a few middle aged perverts that won't approach you hahah. The water isn't very clean but clean enough that you can see through at about 1,5 meters. OK shower and facilities much cleaner and less smelly than deep water bay. Early morning many service ppl hustle around facilities, cleaning etc. But...

It’s a super small beach and very quiet. It’s nice to chill out and relax. wouldn’t say water is in the best condition it’s quite blurry and dirty. You can even go there later in a day and get a longer sun session compare to rupaulse beach. definitely recommend bringing some snacks and water because there is in the many options. On the weekends is the best place to go because on the way back to Hong Kong you can get the transportation quickly either a taxi or a bus.

The beach itself is fine, albeit small in size. Water quality was very good indeed the time I went (Dec 2024). For one thing, there are only a handful of parking spaces (6-7) on the side of the road; besides, you need to walk about 30 metres before you get to the beach.
