The food is good, a little too salty. Portions are very small compared to the price. If you are after good Thai food, CoCoNuts at deepwater has better Thai authentic food at better for value price. The restaurant is loud and busy, but good if you’re something with a bustling atmosphere by the beach.

We made the mistake of coming for dinner on Sunday on two separate occasions and had to endure the AWFUL band (think awful amateur karaoke). We waited 40 mins for a table for two and were seated by the hostess at the bar table right in front of the band (you could touch them). We had initially sat down facing each other, but the hostess then demanded that we sat next to each other, facing the band, with the speakers blasting, even though others on the same bar table facing away from the band. After some negotiation she agreed to seat us somewhere else (we wanted to sit facing each other).

Sparkling water served was initially completely flat, we had to ask for this to be changed. The green curry was excellent.

The bill came to $555 for green curry, fried rice, and a roti + pork appetiser for two and sparkling water. Quite overpriced, especially for...

If you're a vegetarian, then beware of dining at Sip Song. I booked this restaurant for lunch after viewing their menu which showed marked vegetarian dishes, as my parents are strict vegetarians. Upon arriving there, the waitress informed us that the vegetarian options are not pure vegetarian as they all have fish sauce. This is very deceiving to customers. If dishes have fish sauce in them, they should not be marked vegetarian. We requested the waitress and the manager Rain to ask the chef to prepare the marked vegetarian dishes on their menu without the fish sauce, but they were reluctant and had a very rude attitude. We were not asking them to prepare dishes from scratch, just without fish sauce, but they made it seem like a very big deal. We also asked to speak to the head chef to request him directly, but the manager asked and told us that the chef refused to speak to us. At the end, they just told us they could only offer us the vegetarian options on their menu or nothing. It seems they dont really care about whether clients dine there or not. We left to go dine elsewhere and will not be returning to Sip Song...

Went to beach on a public holiday to enjoy the sunny weather and then had dinner at this restaurant in the evening. We got there at around 7:40 pm and when we asked for a table the hostess told us they are full and will have to wait for around 20-30 mins. We said it would be okay to wait and if we can put our name down for the waiting list and come back as we wanted to get ice cream in the mall while waiting. Much to our surprise the hostess with a smirky and condescending attitude said they only accept walk in and we will have to stand in line to wait outside at the restaurant in the hot weather. If not my wife wanted to eat there I would have left and never come back. For a place charging twice as much as in the city ($225 for pad thai, $150 boat noodle etc.), and not being considerate to your patrons seems like they only target one-time tourists business and not counting on locals that come to beach for repeat business. To be fair the food is good but considered the higher price and subpar service and bad attitude of the staff, we will go somewhere else next time we have...

Situated right next to Repulse Bay, with its vibrant colours and rustic design, this casual Thai eatery had the perfect vibes! 🐟Salmon Hor Bai Tong HKD 185 ~ We were very impressed by their roasted salmon red curry. I was expecting sparse chunks of salmon in a bowl of red curry sauce. To my surprise, they served us a full salmon fillet coated in delicious red curry paste!😍The salmon was cooked just right, so incredibly tender and absolutely perfect with that thick coating of red curry! Highly recommend 👍🏻 🥬Pak Boong Kapi Fai Daeng HKD 75 ~ A simple dish of stir-fried water spinach that was perfectly executed. Their water spinach was super tender, and incredibly flavourful with the use of Thai XO sauce and dried shrimps!

I loved this place! The food is great. We had the following dishes: 1. Green curry: The curry was good enough to be shared between three people. It was quite flavourful. Loved it. 2. Roti and rice 3. Okra skewers: Normally we wouldn’t be inclined to order the same but omg this was so good! I have never had an okra based dish that’s this good. Loved it and I highly recommend. 4. Vegetable bean sides: This dish is great and the quantity is quite good as well. Loved the tinge of peanut. However we were quite stuffed! 5. Lavender Mocktail: This was pleasantly refreshing. I did feel the coconut flavour was a bit too much. But that’s on me. Overall had a great experience and the ambience was super good too!
