I have been to more than 15 beaches in Hong Kong Island, New Territory, Lantau Island, and Lama Island. Tai Wan and Long Ke are my two favorites, and Tai Wan is easier to hike to than Long Ke. It has white powdery sand, no rock on the sandy bottom, and very clear water. And there are less than 10 visitors the day we visited, and the beach is the cleanest I can remember in Hong Kong. Now the bad part, there is no life guard, and no public facility. There is no tree near the beach. And you have to hike one and a half hours to get there.

Sono tornato in questa bellissima e incontaminata spiaggia dopo 8 anni e con piacere ho trovato che nulla è cambiato. Spot completamente immerso nella Natura! A causa di un po' di mare mosso non è stato possibile prendere una barca direttamente da Sai Kung per la spiaggia, perciò il tragitto è stato un po' più lungo (autobus 94 dalla stazione davanti il porto di Sai Kung fino a Pak Tam Au, poi hiking per circa 90 minuti) ma sicuramente molto più scenografico. Preparatevi a passare in mezzo a bufali d'acqua che divideranno con voi il percorso ! Al ritorno invece abbiamo preso una barca dalla spiaggia vicina (Ham TIn) che per 150 HK$ a persona ci ha riportato a Sai Kung, circumnavigando tutta la parte est della penisola al tramonto ( altra esperienza unica!). Posto sicuramente da visitare per evadere dalla caotica vita metropolitana e per godersi una spiaggia bianchissima e un mare paragonabile a quello delle isole tailandesi. P.S.: Se si è amanti del surf è possibile noleggiare tavole ad uno dei ristoranti sulla spiaggia di Ham Tin. P.P.S.: allo stesso ristorante noleggiano attrezzatura per il campeggio in quanto si può passare anche la notte su questa spiaggia da sogno

One of the most beautiful beaches in Hong Kong. Its the third beach on the saikung hike and less crowded also. There are no shops and its away from all the chaos. Please carry water and food if you plan to camp here. Its heaven for surfing as well.

Among the 4 beautiful beaches of Tai Long Wan, this is the biggest one.

By land, access is only by foot. Via the sea, private boats can directly land people on the beach - there is no pier.

Due to the beach is very long, and the wave here is quite high. It is a popular place for surfing.

There are nearby stores in the Tai Long Village, or near the Ham Tin beach.

Mobile phone reception is generall good - except for the 3 network which is completely...
