The location on Google Maps is a little off but not significant. Google Maps is unusable in China anyway.
We made a mistake of not using WeChat to arrange pick up from the railway station. As such, we had to take a bus and look for it ourselves.
The host is very responsive on WeChat and also very helpful. It's located within a walled estate with a single entrance. It's a quiet spot and within comfortable walking distance to Zhongyi Market (忠义市场夜市街) and the ancient city. The room is spacious and comfortable. A water dispenser is located by the front desk on ground floor. Plenty of restaurants, convenient stores and other shops are just outside of the estate.
If you're going to the Tiger Leaping Gorge in Shangri-La or Shangri-La City, the host can help buy bus tickets and the pick-up point is right outside the estate gate. It's far more convenient than taking train to head north.

I had the double private bedroom with private bathroom. Here are the pro's of this location:
You're a block away from the bus terminal depot (If you opt to take the bus to or from Shangri-la/Dali/Remote towns, a short walk to the guest house).
Around 10 min walk to the entrance Oldtown and Zhongyi Market (Night Market with yummy food hawkers around 1800).
Number 18 bus to and from the Lijiang Railroad Station.
After you walk out of the guesthouse's compound, you're on the street with plenty of places to eat with the locals. I ate lunch and breakfast there and got a little bit of the local atmosphere instead of the touristy old town.
The room was very clean. There's a second indoor patio deck to hang out after a...
Read moreMama Naxi Guesthouse is the perfect place to stay to see Lijiang and start the Tiger Leaping Gorge hike. The woman who runs the guesthouse is so kind. She gave me an apple and a little hard candy when I showed up to the guesthouse late in the evening and organized the bus to pick me up at 7:30 to take me to the hike. The location is right next to the Ancient City and Zhongyi Market. She also makes great traditional Tibetan...
