As a solo female traveler I stayed 11 nights in this hotel and really loved my stay! The hotel is very comfortable, the room was spacious and the bed was one of the best I've ever slept in. ||The location of the hotel is a short 5-6 minute walk to the Yili Road station which is on line 10, which takes you to the Former French Concession, Yuyuan Gardens and Nanjin Road. There is also a line 2 station, a 15-minute walk away. Line 2 goes directly to the airport. The area felt very safe, as does the whole city of Shanghai. ||Breakfast buffet is very big and has a lot of Asian food but also more Western oriented options like yoghurt, pancakes, croissants, bread, and fruit. The breakfast area was very busy each day, it is a big space but I think there are too many rooms for the number of people they can accommodate down there. ||I only used the swimming pool twice. It is a nice pool, but there are 2 or sometimes even 3 lifeguards there all the time, which made me feel a little uncomfortable swimming by myself in a pool with no one there and just 3 guards sitting there. You also have to wear a swim cap, but if you don't have one they have one for you that you can borrow in the pool.||For internet: Wifi only worked on my laptop if I used Safari browser and then the Bing search engine. Unfortunately, my vpn did not work in the hotel; it worked only on my phone but not on my laptop. ||Staff does speak limited English, as in most places in China. ||All in all a very comfortable stay and would...
Read moreAt first, I wanted to book somewhere closer to Disney. However, after reading the amazing reviews, I made the decision to book at the Radisson Collection Hotel. We booked a family friendly connecting room which was the ideal choice for our family. The room consisted of three very comfortable beds, a large tent and 2 bathrooms. I really appreciated that the furniture edges in the room were covered to prevent injuries & that a bath mat was provided. The retractable clothing line also came in quite handy after our swim. The swimming pool on the 4th floor closes at 9 pm and unfortunately doesn't have a smaller pool for kids. I was told by one of the more kinder pool lifeguards to be extra careful when swimming with my 6 year old. The kitchen staff on the first floor were very welcoming and professional. Breakfast was amazing, I personally enjoyed the best Cappuccino here. Please try to have some luggage assistance for families with younger...
Read moreReview: I stayed at your hotel and was generally very satisfied: the rooms, service, and atmosphere were excellent. However, I had an unpleasant experience at the reception. When I approached the desk, I was directed to another counter, even though there were two staff members who didn’t seem busy. I followed their instructions and went to the second desk, where I was again told to go to a third counter. Finally, at the third reception desk, I was redirected yet again! This was not only inconvenient but also left a negative impression. I understand that staff may have specific responsibilities, but it appeared that the issue was caused by a lack of coordination rather than workload. I kindly ask you to address this issue and take measures to improve reception service. I hope that next time my experience with your staff will be smoother and more...
