Not easy to navigate and be prepared to walk, climb up and down everywhere and very far. Huangshi village, to walk the outer route is almost 3 km eventho the view is worthwhile as u can see the elephants and also 5 fingers. u may want to ask the hotel staff for their opinion as they know best how to navigate and make the most out of your limited time there. One thing crucial u must do is to buy the complete entrance tickets that includes unlimited cable car rides. Cable car was a spectacular way to see the structures up close and in totality from up to bottom. If u have 2 days, below i feel is the best: Day 1, Bailong lift, Hallelujah mountains, Tianbo Mansion then to Huangshi village. If u do the outer circle of the village, then u would b extremely tired by now. Make your way down to south gate and take a DiDi back to hotel. Your knees will be saved for the next day. Day 2: Tianzi mountain Yubi peak Helong park. Then try to make ur way by bus to shentang gulf. this gulf is seldom visited but the expanse of the Gulf blew our minds. It shows how massive ZJJ area is. If not tired enough, u can make your way to Golden whip stream to relax as no more steps are involved. u can walk just the front part to get a feel of how beautiful the place is. 10 mile gallery is the last option as now u would have seen everything and all began to look the same. Pls don't attempt ZJJ if u have knee or feet problem as we saw a lot of people just sit and wait for others to complete the course. It's just way too hard. even with buses, the distance apart is far.......enjoy while...

The entrance gate to this park is from Wulingyuan city about an hour from Zhangjiajie city and cost you 13 Yuan for public bus ticket and insurance. Then from bus station just walk about 10 minutes to the Entrance gate of this park.
Buy your ticket at the gate (inclusive entrance fee and coach bus from point to point, but exclusive of Elevator and Cable car ticket to go up and down the mountain).
From the gate the local bus will bring you to the Yuangjiajie base camp to start the journey. Join the local coach tour or do solo travel following the map of places to be visited.
Managed professionally and commercially, clean and nice, except in the toilet some local people sometimes forget to flush after doing their own nature calls.
A lot of local foods available at the bus stopping or at the spot of interest and only one international food there, which is The Mc Donald.
To go around from spots to spots I spend about 5 to 6 hours and for slightly visit at least you...
Read moreYuanjiajie is a breathtaking part of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in China, famous for its towering sandstone pillars that inspired the floating mountains in the movie Avatar. We opted to enter in a spectacular way by taking the Bailong Elevator—the world’s tallest outdoor lift that soars 326 meters up a cliff face, offering a thrilling ride with panoramic views of the jagged skyline. Be prepared for long queue getting to be base of the elevator. We spent more than 1 hour waiting in line on a weekday during a non public holiday period in mid April. Upon reaching the top, you will be in awe of the magical landscape, filled with mist-covered peaks and lush greenery, looks like something from a fantasy world. The most famous spot is the Avatar Hallelujah Mountain, a massive stone pillar reaching over 1,000 meters high. With its dreamy scenery and unique geology, coming to Yuanjiajie feels like stepping into...
