Our stay at Manyuan exceeded expectations. Every staff member we met was thoughtful and kind, and Xiaoxiao (晓晓) stood out as a true miracle worker. She took the time to address our concerns, even late at night, due to our tricky itinerary. Her incredible service made all the difference in our experience.We initially chose Manyuan for its clean, spacious rooms with a tub, as well as benefits like itinerary planning, a complimentary foot bath, and breakfast. We were relieved and impressed to find all these—and much more.Upon our late-night arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find a plate of fresh fruit prepared in our room. The hotel even provided more upon request, which helped tide us over until breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, the selection featured plenty of delicious Chinese options. My wife and I especially enjoyed the tasty yogurt, and I appreciated the easy-to-use coffee machine, fragrant tea, and simple yet satisfying cakes and dumplings. Thete weee plenty of other choices, too.Xiaoxiao also made our park visits effortless by booking our tickets in advance. Thanks to her help, all we had to do was scan our passports or use facial recognition to enter the attractions. After a long day exploring Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, the complimentary foot bath was a welcome treat—we simply had to boil water, add provided herbal pouches, and a basin made it easy to enjoy a relaxing soak.When we encountered an unexpected emergency, Xiaoxiao was incredibly understanding and responsive, once again demonstrating her dedication and professionalism. She even helped us with our Lantern Festival itinerary that would take place after we'd checked out. She acknowledged weather considerations and even road closures ahead of providing her recommendations. Manyuan Resort Hotel is located in the Wulingyuan district of Zhangjiajie, making it an ideal place to stay when you are visiting Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Baofeng Lake, and the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge. In fact, it is only a walking distance to the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, and there are many restaurants and food stalls near the hotel. We had booked a non-smoking room, but the room we were given had the faint smell of smoke and there was an ash tray in the room. When we raised the issue to the staff, they were very accommodating to our concerns and it was resolved smoothly. Overall, the room was clean and kid-friendly because there was a small toy slide in the room. Also, we loved how our room had a wonderful view of the river in front of the hotel and of the looming mountains in the distance. Their buffet breakfast was excellent! There was a variety of food and drinks. Noodles, fried rice, meat dishes, vegetable dishes, bread, fruit, etc. Every dish we tried in the hotel was delicious and very satisfactory to our tastes. All the staff we encountered was very accommodating, warm, and hospitable. We loved how they gave us a personalized experience during our stay in Manyuan Resort Hotel. The hotel concierge, Xiaolin, was so helpful with our trip around Wulingyuan. She helped us in booking our tickets and recommending the routes to take in the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Baofeng Lake, and the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge. ManYuan is really a home away from home. We stayed for 3 nights.A shout out to PengYi, Xiao Xiao, and their staff for their warmth, hospitality, and attentiveness that made our stay so enjoyable!👏👏👏Even before our stay started, through our wechat correspondence, PengYi had already got the itinerary planned, park tickets bought, and a tour guide arranged for us. It really helped us in our planning as we only needed to let her know where we would like to visit, and she would give recommendations.The drivers PengYi engaged for us were punctual, and their service level was good.A driver was arranged to pick us from and to the train station at reasonable cost. The driver engaged had a new 7 seater car, and he even turned on the massage seats for us.😀We also had a driver arranged for us for a whole day trip to the 大侠谷and 天门山. He did well to brief us on the routes to take and places to visit while we were at both places. He even recommended a good restaurant, XinKuangQiYuan (心宽奇原）for us.Ashley, the tour guide engaged for us to bring us around the National Park is bilingual and experienced. The room itself was of decent size, clean, comfortable, and smells good.Laundry facilities are available. On occasions that we could not use the dryer that was occupied, they even helped us to put the clothes into the dryer and folded for us when we were out. Really appreciated the extra mile of service provided. Breakfast was great, quite a good spread of both Chinese and Western choices.As mentioned by some, the hotel is about 10 to 15 minutes of walk from the ZJJ park East Gate.
