We expected more for the money paid and feel the experience is over priced. Day pass is really only 4 hours. Arrived just after 9am were served lunch at 12pm and we were rushed onto the return boat early at 13:40. The food was very average and again not in line with the luxury experience we were sold. The staff taking orders were unfriendly and rushed us around. They were especially unfriendly to those who did not speak Spanish well. There is also a problem of a lot of flies. They cover you and your food and drink. It is difficult to relax with flies landing on you every few seconds. There was also a large dead bird floating right next to the swimming beach, this should be removed by staff and not left there for the day. The club is not luxury, it is basic. The toilets did not have toilet seats and there was no running water in sink to wash hands. There are no showering facilities and no towels provided. The boat back to Cartagena was unsafe for the rough conditions. There was only a few suitable seats at the back of the boat. All other passengers were sat on sideways benches around the edge and because of the rough conditions we were getting thrown around and it was very dangerous. Other passengers were vomiting due to the very rough conditions. No one explained the rough conditions before we got on the boat and we should have been warned of this before travel. To ensure safety of all passengers, a different boat should be chartered for rough conditions.

Overall we expect more for $450,000 pesos. The scenery is lovely but we would not pay this...

Waited a bit to share our experience, wanting to fully process it before writing a review. Note this is just our experience and weather played a huge part - but figured it was important to share.

We booked our trip for our first day in Cartagena, knowing there was a chance of rain. We asked the resort about their weather policy and were told they would refund us if the marina closed the docks. Fair enough. What we didn’t anticipate was that they wouldn’t close the docks during a thunderstorm.

On the morning of our trip, we arrived at the dock and paid the fee after a 45 min wait. It started to sprinkle, but nothing crazy. We boarded the speedboat and headed toward the island, which is about an hour away. That's when things went awry.

We encountered a torrential downpour that felt like we were racing under a waterfall for 30 mins. Thunder and lightning started, making it feel unsafe to be on the water. There was no visibility, and everything got soaked - towels, phones, bags, and clothes.

When we arrived at the resort we were greeted by staff who told us they closed the docks about 5 minutes after we left so our boat (~20 people) would be the only guests for the day.

Because towel rental is only at the dock, we had literally nothing dry. There were no dry loungers, daybeds, or hammocks. Our only option was to sit soaking wet at a table in the hut for the rest of the day while it continued to rain.

While the resort itself is beautiful, and we did have a good time, I’d caution visiting in...

We visited paue last week with my mom and sister! I would highly recommend it. Although it rained the day we went and it was cloudy, the staff did everything they could to make the day enjoyable for us! The boat ride from Cartagena was smooth. We left Cartagena a little bit later then the usual depart time due to the rain and the visibility in the water. We were able to make up the lost time that afternoon and stayed on the island one hour later. we left the island at 4p. Once we got going everything was great! We were welcomed by the staff all together with a glass of champagne. The water was amazing, warm and clear. We were able to use the water toys and they have plenty of chairs and beach loungers! Food and beverages were delicious! the best part of this beach lounge is the staff they are so welcoming and service is top notch! if you are looking for a relaxing beach lounge in Cartagena where you can go to relax, listen to good music, enjoy time not only with your friends and family but also the staff then this is it! You leave here feeling like you are part of the family! 🩷

Recommendation: Bring your own towels from the hotel (you can either buy towels here or rent them, saves you a little money if you bring them from the hotel) and...

This place is quite good, I had extremely well prepared Piña coladas in total confort. All the staff do its best to provide a good service, they are not shy at suggesting guests to give well deserved tips. I was quite happy with how well organized they are. It is a good idea to have money prepared to give tips to the guys at the boat and the waiter. I was so happy with the drinks I went to the bar to congratulate the bar tender with a tip too. It is true that the wi-fi coverage could be better, but hey, you are at the beach, so try to unplug yourself for some hours. The beach is beautiful and the temperature was just perfect. I highly recommend not to miss the trip around the island. I was happy that my trip didn't include the visit to the Oceanario, it's sad to have dolphins in prison. I got mixed information about this fact, it seems there you are told that dolphins are free to go free and come back to work, then another person told me that this is not true. Knowing dolphins are intelligent creatures I don't think they are more happy than humans to be forced to have a 9 to 5 job. Thank you Melissa, your help was key to have a 5 star experience!

This privately owned beach truly is stunning. Our first night in Cartagena, we received a recommendation to visit here from a restaurant and we are so glad we went. We showed up to the port early in the morning where we took a 30 minute boat ride to the Isla Grande. Upon arrival, we were greeted with champagne and our pick of lounge areas around the property. There are 2 beach areas, one is more in the sun and the other has plenty of shady areas to relax in. Lunch was included, which was arroz con mariscos for myself, and various meats a la plancha for others. I would note that the cocktails here are fairly expensive for Cartagena, but they do taste great. If you’re up for a bit of a tour, they offer a small boat tour around the island and talk about the history of the Rosario Islands. You can also walk around outside of Pa’Ue and see sights like Laguna Encantada, the bioluminescent lagoon.
