A Must-Do Experience for Coffee Lovers & Families!

Our visit to the Britt Coffee Tour in Costa Rica was nothing short of amazing! From start to finish, it was an engaging, educational, and fun experience for the whole family. Our guide, Chalo, was absolutely incredible—knowledgeable, entertaining, and full of energy! He made learning about coffee an unforgettable adventure.

The tour takes you through the entire coffee journey, from the plant to the cup. We got to see how coffee is grown, harvested, roasted, and brewed, all while enjoying the delicious aroma of freshly roasted beans. The interactive presentations were both fun and informative, keeping everyone—kids and adults alike—entertained.

The tastings were a highlight! We had the chance to savor some of Costa Rica’s finest coffee and learn how to distinguish flavors like true connoisseurs. Whether you're a coffee enthusiast or just curious about the process, this tour offers something for everyone.

I left with a newfound appreciation for coffee and a bag of my new favorite blend! If you’re visiting Costa Rica, this is an absolute must—100%...

Nestled in the heart of Heredia, Britt offers a delightful escape that goes beyond just being a typical coffee destination. The grounds are truly a visual treat—a serene oasis that immediately puts visitors at ease. Their real star, of course, is the coffee, which consistently delivers the rich, nuanced flavors that have made Britt renowned.

While the dining experience might be considered modest, what truly stands out is the staff's commitment to the place. The remarkably low employee turnover speaks volumes about the workplace culture. It's clear that the team finds genuine satisfaction in their work, which translates to a warm, authentic atmosphere that coffee lovers and casual visitors alike can appreciate.

The service can occasionally be a bit absent-minded (ex: reminded my host 3x to get me a water) but this is balanced by the overall charm of the location and the quality of their signature coffee. For those seeking a relaxed, genuine Costa Rican coffee experience with a touch of local character, Britt remains a worthwhile...

My wife and I went on the coffee tour with her team from work, and the tour was excellent! Britt doesn't grow the coffee, they are primarily a roaster that does some great marketing and distribution.

Our tour guide was awesome, I'd say the best guide we've had in Costa Rica so far. That's really saying something because ALL of our tour guides have been phenomenal.

Our guide walked us through the coffee roasting and tasting process step by step. The care they take in turning out excellent coffee is VERY evident. They also have an excellent selection of chocolates.

A couple bags of coffee came home with me, but I'll definitely be ordering some of their coffees online!

If you are in San Jose, this coffee tour is a must...

If you have time for one coffee tour in San Jose, make this the one. Absolutely loved it, knowledgeable and extremely funny guides who explain everything in Spanish and English and involve the audience in their presentation. This isn't a plantation as such but a coffee processing plant but the tour involves showing the entire cycle from seed to cup. The tour lasts almost 3 hours and is extremely informative and fun. The Britt coffee site itself is beautiful and quiet and pre or post tour you can roam around and play with the goats and sheep or wander through the tranquil surroundings. Britt coffee store on site as well as a cafe ( didn't visit). Free Wifi available. One of my favorite memories of our trip to San Jose.
