Tesar Castle, located in the heart of Pula, has a rich history dating back to the early medieval period. Visiting Tesar Castle is a must for anyone coming to Pula. The location is simply stunning, offering panoramic views of the city and the surrounding Adriatic Sea. The top of the castle is home to several excellent restaurants and bars where you can enjoy a meal or a drink while taking in the breathtaking scenery. Getting to Tesar Castle is convenient. You can use Bolt or Uber for a direct ride, or take the city bus from the center of Pula. Tickets for the bus can be purchased at kiosks or directly from the driver. However, I highly recommend walking down to the city center from the castle. The descent provides a scenic route with around 532 steps, giving you a unique perspective of the area. Overall, Tesar Castle offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and modern amenities, making it a top destination for visitors to Pula.

If you're visiting Rijeka, this is a must-go place. Not too large, not too small, but just right to go around and discover all its great view corners. The view of Rijeka's downtown landscape and Rijecina's riverbed as well a nice breeze during summer is a refreshing reward for climbing to the fortress especially if you are using the city stairs from all the way down. If the breeze doesn't help, you can always grab a beer in the fortesses cafe. But in winter time, during the holidays, it's a real place of magic. A little masterpiece of decorative lamps can be seen here, with the full effect at night. Also, a sweet tiny winter village is placed next to the fortress. Here you can warm up with boiled vine, sweets, some snacks or even ice skating. Definitely not a one time visit.

Sweet little castle (not too big). Nice people, you also can enjoy some drinks in the middle :) Getting in and onto the tower is for free. From the tower you can see whole Rijeka! 👍🏼 We were there on a Saturday and simultaneously it was Victory-Day in Croatia. Yet it wasn't too full of people :) We liked it there. Around the castle there are also many little cafés, bars, a winebar and ATM. We got hungry and went to "Pizzeria Pampas" (5min walk from there). Really good pizza and with a good service. If you go to Trsat Castle do yourself a favor and wear nice clothes :D Everyone is dressed up there.

It is a place in Rijeka that represents historical heritage combined with modern world. You can get to the top in several ways, choosing multiple stairs or a serpentine rout through the park and quiet city streets. The entrance is free of charge. From the top you will definatly take some amazing pic of the city from different views. After quite an active walk to the top you can relax and enjoy a cocktail in the cafe on the castle territory! This place is definatly must be in the list to visit

A beautiful castle well maintained, we came from Rijeka by foot and had to go through a long staircase which made it more interesting also. The castle itself sits on a high place overlooking the sea and the city of Rijeka. Great place to take nice pics but mostly to learn about the history. You can access the crypt and can grab a drink at the bar (it was closed when I was there though). I highly recommend spending an hour or so checking this place out and enjoying the beautiful views.
