The Zlatni rt (Golden Cape) Park Forest is the most significant park area on the north-eastern Adriatic coast. This is the oldest protected site in Istria, having a high botanical value. It is an inevitable destination for enjoying a walk or biking in nature and it's easy accessible. It's situated south, only 15 minutes walk from the town center. Rock climbers will also enjoy the cape's rocks.
There are also nice bathing places suitable for children and families. Take a look at our beaches section to find out more information about the best beaches in the area.

If you're a climber it's a must to climb all the morning at Punta Corrente Park Forest and then take a swim in the beautiful clear water a few meters from the crag! ;) Fantastic...
Read moreWent to the beach here.... superb nature park great walks, great beaches, quite busy, plenty of shade in trees along the beach front. Beaches & sea are super clean here. Beaches are rocky or pebbles depending on where you choose. Watch out for parking - make sure to pay & display - we paid 7 kuna an hour.... lots of people didnt pay & got fines. Also places to hire bikes & beach chairs etc. At one place they wanted 600 kuna for a beach chair (plastic adjustable type you can lay down on while sunbathing) on the beach all day..... we got ours for 55 kuna for the day & put it in the shaded area under trees by the water & could move to sunshine when we wanted. Mist people dont use beach chairs.... Tamaris cafe has toilets but not great coffee... ice cream was nice but small portion & very dear. So great place to go for a day swimming / sunbathing but can...

The pine shade makes even the hottest days comfortable to spend them on the beach. It is very worth the walk as the sea is...
