We had a wonderful time here. From the outside it looks a bit outdated but the interior is modern and neat. Room was spacious and complete. Bed excellent. In our case a balcony right above fan units. Not ideal but we didn’t spend any time there. The garden and Rovinj was our balcony in the evenings. Staff is friendly. Breakfast was perfect. Lots of choice but it is everyday the same. The garden, that is shared with the better looking Lone (that comes with a slightly higher price per night), is great. Lots of shadow and very well looked after. The garden is big and offers enough space to have same privacy while laying on any of the chairs. Pool is big enough. In fact there were two. One seems colder than the other. Both not very deep. Water was salt. Towel service good. They try to act on people that claim the bed without being there at all. The garden also offers Oleander and Tekka. Oleander for lunch, diner and drinks. Tekka is a high class Japanese restaurant. Worth a visit. Also you have a beach with a bar. Location is superb. Rovinj center is a bit of a walk. Especially with high temperatures like we had but the route along the sea is beautiful but not the quickest route. Nature is your neighbor here. From the garden you walk directly into Park Zlatni with lots of small beaches. Parking is well organized but a bit far from the hotel. There is a shuttle service available. Its a couple of hundred meters away. Parking contains gravel. Your car could become a bit dusty. Prices per night were high in comparison with other places where we stayed on our trip.

A lovely hotel in peaceful location surrounded by mature trees and forest headland. Rooms recently refurbished to high standard, with modern bathroom, fixtures and fittings. TV, Digital Safe, Tea Coffee making facilities, Air Con, plenty storage space. Grounds have lovely swimming pool area with its own cafe and toilets. Beach area is stones and is used by three hotels, but walk left from beach along path and lots of little coves of shingle sand or stones with good bathing in calm see and sunbathing in sun or shade, also a little bar further alone to the headland. Staff all very good and buffet meals good choice at breakfast, though main meals were rather "basic" but excellent salad and dessert buffets. Rooms kept spotlessly clean. Update May 2022. The location is very pleasant in woodland and a lovely pool area, surrounded by mature trees. I suppose the style of building is a bit dated now and overshadowed by three other newer and higher rated (but more costly) adjacent. The pathway walk into Rovinj has been updated with sunbathing loungers and beds (not free!) and bars into the new impressive Marina. Hotel Eden is still a good choice for value and location unless you want something more upmarket.

This is the second visit to Hotel Eden in the past six months. The hotel from outside doesn’t seem like much, but Inside their rooms have been recently refurbished, are well-kept, the spa is perfect and it has both indoor and outdoor pools. The beach is made of stones and the water clear and calm. We booked half board, and we did because their food offers is perfect. So much choice and peculiar dishes, oftentimes even Croatian specialties. Overall we love hotel Eden and will probably go back in the future, although there’s room for improvement. The temperature at breakfast was a joke, with the ac set at 18C, we saw people wearing jackets and we always had cold ears and hands after eating. To me it doesn’t make any sense. Service during meals was a hit and miss, depending on where you sat, but generally polite. A thumbs up for the room maids, who worked really hard and were pretty quick. Prices are also on the high-end during the high season, to me not worth it. Off-season they are honest and the hotel is even calmer and less crowded. In general I can only recommend this hotel.

Mixed feelings about this hotel, it's clearly a well oiled machine and run very well, however missing a personal touch. Before we arrived we were encouraged to check in online, which wasn't working and took an hour of my time, I eventually emailed the hotel who said it was very much a work in progress, fair enough but not great for us now anxious about checking in. We were also sent a survey which should take 10 - 15 minutes asking preferences for our stay. This seemed to be totally pointless. We requested an Iron and Ironing board - on arrival, this was not in the room. We requested the Mini bar to be empty - on arrival, this was full. We requested extra hangers - who knows if we got them, I suspect not. We also gave an arrival time, which we understood could not guarantee an early check-in but thought it might have some influence, however, this was not the case. Reception were extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. They made no effort to help us at all or advise us that we could get towels etc whilst we were waiting. Nor when we finally checked in was there any information about the hotel bars or restaurants etc. This does not present a good first impression! No wonder the Oleander restaurant was empty most evenings!

The luggage room is a worry, no security, no key to access, just a room anyone can walk into to do anything they like, probably something that needs to be addressed urgently!

The hotel Room itself was very good. Small, but with everything placed well. We had a superior double. Only issue is the balcony which is small and balcony chairs also very uncomfortable.

The breakfast was very good with lots of variety, can't fault it and breakfast staff very good at clearing plates etc and keeping clean.

The Tamaris bar staff are excellent. Marija and Durdica especially, an absolute asset to the team that will hopefully be recognised as they thoroughly deserve it!

We had a late flight the day we checked out (unplanned, the airline changed from a lunchtime flight to a late evening flight). For a hotel this size, there are absolutely no provisions whatsoever for late departure. We couldn't get a late check out, there isn't a shower room - you are told to use just the outdoor pool showers where you can't have a proper wash and you're not able to book out a towel after 11am which is the checkout time. Also unsure if you are still allowed to use the loungers etc after this time. Nobody made this clear to us. Not great when you have spent a lot of money to stay at the hotel. We also spent a lot on drinks etc, including the day of departure, so feel we should be able to use the facilities. This really needs a rethink to offer a good customer experience. I really hope they consider a shower room.

In general beach and pool very busy, despite signs stating they will remove reserved beds after 2 hours if not used, this clearly isn't enforced and I suspect a lot of locals are taking advantage of the facilities. The most disappointing thing is that we booked directly via the hotel, which I thought might offer certain advantages as not booked via a third party, however I feel this was not recognised at all. I think you will have an overall good holiday at the hotel but customer service leaves a lot to be desired, apart from the beach bar staff!!

I really hope the hotel will take note of my honest comments. Also, to reiterate, Marija and Durdica from the beach bar are excellent, as were all of the beach bar staff, considering they are in the hot sun all day working extremely hard, it's strange that they are the happiest and friendliest, whereby the reception bar staff and reception are not and they are in the air...

We came here on the 18/06/2025 and our expectations were different to what we got. First of all the hotel is joined together with Hotel Lone. Due to this, the outside pool, beach and the whole outside area of the hotel is very busy in the daytime and it’s difficult to get a sun-bed. We were unable to sit by the beach during our stay because of this which is very disappointing.

When we first arrived we were told our rooms wouldn’t be ready for at least 2 hours even though we arrived at our correct check-in time. There is one very small storage room for luggage which doesn’t have a door and easily accessible for anyone ,not secure or safe. There was no more space to put our luggage in there so we were told to keep our luggage against the wall of the main bar. By the time we were able to check into our rooms it was time to get ready for the evening which was a day wasted of the holiday. There was a mix of people staying here and some families but a lot of elderly.

Food and drink: There are two restaurants in the hotel, the main restaurant and a restaurant by the beach/pool for lunch which costs money. In the main restaurant the food was nice and fresh and there is a lot to choose from. Each night/morning there would be something different and always somewhere to sit. I’d recommend coming towards the end of the evening/morning to avoid the busyness as it would get quite crowded (especially breakfast) and it wouldn’t feel relaxing or calm. At breakfast the drinks were free, you could help yourself to juices from the machine and glasses of milk but other than that the drinks are VERY overpriced. You have to pay for water which is not okay when you’ve been in the heat most of the day. The drinks are also VERY small portions you could finish a glass in a few sips. One night it costed us 32 euros just for 3 drinks (Not even all alcoholic!). Ridiculous pricing! We often had headaches and felt dehydrated.

Rooms: The rooms were very clean and nice. There is a lot of space to put your clothes and the bathroom is modern. The beds were very comfortable and we had good sleeps during our stay. We had a sliding door to our bathroom which didn’t fully shut which wasn’t very ideal. The balcony is quite small so we didn’t sit on it as it was also facing the car park. The cleaners were friendly and mostly did a good job however they didn’t collect our dirty cups which we had to take back to the bar ourselves.

Entertainment: There was no entertainment when we went even though it says on their website there is, this is only throughout the summer holidays which started the week we left. There was one day with entertainment which was Saturday evening and stopped at 10pm. The nights would be very boring and the hotel felt empty after dinner as most people would go back to their rooms. It would be so much better if there was entertainment all time round.

Things to do: Although there aren’t many excursions to book in Rovinj, the hotel is located a 20 minute walk from the harbour where there is lots of restaurants and boat trips. The market is also near the harbour where this some shops and more restaurants.

Overall, we had an okay holiday but we wished there was more to do and the price-performance ratio isn’t right. If you aren’t the type of person to explore on holidays or do excursions then this hotel would be...

We were staying at this hotel in the beginning of July 2020. Positive sides of this hotel are, that it is sorrounded by nice nature and in ca. 10 min walking distance you can reach the centrum of Rovinj. Negative sides: Parking: No parking available for hotel guests next to the hotel. You have to park over the street, few min walking distance away from hotel (nobody informed us about this fact upfront, on the page where we booked it was stated, there is a parking next to the hotel available). Next to hotel there are some parking spaces, but i am not sure who is allowed to park there, as we were not allowed to park there. Reception: We had to pay upfront at the time of check in, very unusual and does not fit the "manners" of a good hotel. We got no explanation why it is this way. This seemd strange to me. Minibar: Our mini bar was empty. It can be filled on request only. Beach: The beach next to the hotel is very nice, but extremely loud, full of people and shouting kids. The same is valid for the breakfast restaurant, very big, loud - canteen style. If you like calm brekfasts in a nice room, then this will not be for you. Food: Food is average. If you have any special needs or wishes, for example lactosefree, glutenfree, vegan or vegetarian, you will be dissapointed. From all the stated they can offer soy milk and glutenfree toast only. And fruits of course. If you ask about lactosefree they look at you like you would be an alien. Sleep quality: We requested lower pillows at the reception, which was not provided to us. They provided same high pillows, just 2 additional. After getting no help from reception employees, we arranged this with the cleaning lady (very nice lady, thank you!), she provided to us lower pillows, because the first ones were so high, it was not possible to sleep on them. Hotel as a building: Hotel is not very well maintaind, seems outdated. Rooms are ok, balcony very small and not well maintained. Employees at the hotel: Hotel personal is not kind and offers to guests a basic minimum they have to provide. After staying in this hotel I was very surprised in can posses 4 Stars. We expected something better, cosidering 4 stars, and not low price at all. I unfortunatelly cannot recommend this hotel, better stay away, especially if you usualy stay in better...
