Today was the day to visit Krka National Park.
We stopped at the car park and paid 10 euros for the whole day!
At the reception next to the bridge, between Skradrin and Skradinski Buk, there is a place that sells tickets, for those who go on foot or by bicycle along a dirt path by the river, to the waterfalls of Skradinski Buk.
In the city center of Skradin, there is a place that sells tickets to go by boat to the waterfalls of Skradinski Buk. According to the receptionist next to the bridge, the price to visit the waterfalls of Skradinski Buk and Roski Slap is 40 euros (we went in August), either for those who go on foot, by bike or by boat. In our opinion, it doesn't make much sense to be an equal value.
We made the boat trip between Skradin and the waterfalls of Skradinski Buk. We arrived at the area of the waterfalls and were surprised by the signs warning "no going to the water"!
ATTENTION: In the waterfalls of Skradinski Buk, currently, WE CAN NO LONGER GO INTO THE WATER next to the waterfall. We saw many people in bathing suits, with buoys and armbands for the children, but it is forbidden to go into the water in these waterfalls. Those photos and posters with people in the water by the waterfall, it's no longer real.
After our circular visit through this waterfall, we re-entered the boat and went to visit with our car Visovac and Roski Slap.
Following the advice of a gentleman who worked in the park, we went on the right side of the river that separates Skradin and Roski Slap, with the route Skradin-Tromilja-Konjevrate-Bilici-Drinovci-Visovac. Despite being further away by the east, at the viewpoint before descending to the pier that takes us to the island of Visovac, we managed to take spectacular photos.
On this side, in August, we pay 15 euros per person to go to the island from this pier. From the pier on the opposite side, it is 10 euros. Since Skradin is much more expensive.
Then we went to Roski Slap. The waterfalls and the cave were a huge disappointment. In this place, we really like the bars, where the river water gives us a great bath and the beach next to the boat dock.
In August we paid 40 euros to visit the waterfalls of the Plitvice National Park, by route H (visit to the whole park, transport included (bus and boat)) and 40 euros to visit this Krka Natural Park, which was not so beautifull, in our opinion.
In our opinion, if you want to choose to visit only one of these two parks and are in doubt, do not think twice, and visit the Plitvice...

Very beautiful waterfalls and the walking area around it, but it is so overcrowded that it kills almost all the pleasant experience and joy. This waterfall with all its wooden bridges is simply too small for the crowd that comes daily to the park. The park doesn't have entry timeslots to spread the people and let them actually enjoy the nature. Nobody cares about the experience of the visitors. Instead everyone is rushing - there is a somebody in front, beside mad behind you.
It's hugely overpriced - a ticket of 40 euros per adult that doesn't include anything except for the bus ride from the Lozovac entrance to the waterfall. You're done within max two hours out of 10 hours that the park is open for visitors. There is nothing to do except for taking a boat trip, which is another type of adventure.
We took a boat trip to Roski Slap (additional 55 euro for 2 adults and one child) that suppose to include a visit to Visovac Island with a monastery. We wanted to enjoy a nice ride and then swim at the Rosku Slap waterfall that is still allowed. What a huge disappointment !!! We had rather small motorboat for the number of people it was carrying, with very uncomfortable seats and a smell of gasoline from the engine. The whole trip took an hour one way, just to discover that the water fall is located far away from the place we were allowed to swim. It was not possible to swim next to it or in the lake except for a tiny peace of water next to the river bank. Another regret is that the visit to Roski slap lasts only 1:30 hr, which is definitely not enough to enjoy the hike, to swim in the lake and get some drinks at the local restaurant.
Don't take the boat - it's a total waist of your time and money. With a full ticket it is possible to drive in the park (this info is not present on the website). If you are by car, just drive to Roski slap and the other places in the...
