Hotel Skradinski Buk — Hotel in Grad Skradin

This hotel was very well situated near the national park and had ample parking (for no fee if you're staying there). The room was comfortable (great beds), though the air conditioning didn't keep up at all with the hot summer temperature, so that made it a little difficult to sleep. The rooms were quiet and both the room and bathroom were clean.

Breakfast was pretty decent, but nothing special. There weren't many options and the quality wasn't "fresh" (mostly pre-packaged or processed foods). Coffee was mediocre as well (from a machine). Overall not a bad place for the price point, which I'm sure varies seasonally. We spent about 100 euros for the one night we stayed there as walk-ins (no reservation). I think the price point is definitely on the higher side, but with the location, free parking and breakfast included I think it was generally worth it.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the building had a nicer modern elevator. The proximity to the older parts of town, other restaurants and the marina was also a big bonus. Everyone comes to Skradin to view the falls at Krka NP and we were no different. The bus stop from Zadar, Split and others is adjacent to the hotel. Everything in Skradin is only a stroll away. Our stay included breakfast which was good with a hot choice of scrambled eggs and a myriad of cold choices. We also dined in the hotel restaurant on one occasion and the quality, service and value were very good. They always had several all inclusive plate choices. We stayed in one of the adjacent apartments as opposed to the hotel building. Our room had two sections plus the bathroom. The alternate room and bathroom had a bit of an unpleasant order but we just closed that section off and our sleeping quarters were fine as was the air conditioning. Het is een 3 sterrenhotel maar dit vond ik wel een 4 sterrenhotel: Vervroegde check-in tijd, wij konden 2 tot 2,5 uur eerder inchecken en hadden de koffers bij de receptie gelaten om even de omgeving te bekijken en te lunchen.

Het betreft een twee persoons kamer en half pension voor een week.

Ongeveer dagelijks nieuwe handdoeken zelfs als we er niet om vroegen. Nette kamer met een fijn bed. Een klein loggia maar prima om even buiten te kunnen zitten. Het heeft een kast en klein koelkastje. Mooie badkamer met grote spiegel, wasbak, regendouche, gewone douche en een toilet.

De locatie is perfect voor de nationaal parken

Gratis wifi, werkt soms wat minder maar meestal wel okay (maar dat is meestal in hotels). Airco deed het niet, maar het kan ook zijn dat het nog niet aan staat omdat het nog niet zo warm is. (13-28) graden. Wel kon de ventilatiefunctie gebruikt worden. TV staan circa 20 zenders op, helaas wel in lokale of Duitse taal. Engelse voiceover of zenders zouden ook fijn zijn.

Het ontbijt was prima. Genoeg brood- en beleg en wat warms zoals scrambled egg. Yoghurt soorten met allerlei dingen om erbij te doen. Warm dranken automaat en sinaasappel en appel automaat.

Avondeten was voor ons nieuw, normaal zijn wij gewend dat bijvoorbeeld bij resorts je pakt wat je wilt, hier heb je dagelijks keuze uit 3 soorten hoofdgerecht. Voor- tussen en nagerecht staan wel vast. Tenzij je iets niet mag eten maar moet je wel aangeven. Voorgerecht is een soepje (varieert) tussengerecht een salade van rouwkost, avondeten vlees/vis/vegetarisch en nagerecht varieerde ook. De visgerechten vond ik eruit springen. Wel moet je weten hoe je een vis ontgraat want je krijgt een hele vis geserveerd.

Zeer vriendelijke ober en gastheer.

Reizen: In Skradin kan je bij de haven bij een officieel nationaal park gebouw een kaart kopen waarbij je met de boot gebracht wordt bij het krka park. Hier loop je denk 2-3 uur (of zolang je wilt) en kan je weer met de boot terug. Gaat om het uur.

Met de Bus waren we met circa 2 uur bij de Plitvicemeren en konden daar de watervallen bekijken. Ook daar werd je weer opgehaald.
