Stayed here for a night USD65 for a double room, emailed before arrival and got prompt reply. Took a bus from Plitvice here and the guest house is literally 2 mins walk from bus stop even with luggage. Skradin is small, quite a few restaurants nearby, less than 10 mins walk to the dock for the boat to Krka. ||||Upon arriving, didn't see anyone so called the number, the owner lives upstairs and came down to show me to the room, also provide helpful info about Krka and restaurant recommendation. The room is on the small side but no problem for 1-2 persons, homey decor and comfortable, nice toilet and shower, very clean, everything quite new and works as it should. The jacuzzi was a nice addition although the water was not warm enough despite setting the temperature to the highest. There's laundry and dryer in the basement which I could use for no extra charges, very helpful and really appreciated it. There's a nice kitchen for those who wish to cook, wish breakfast is included even if a simple one, but given it's not and there doesn't seem to be places to get breakfast before the first boat to Krka, so I went to pick up things to make a sandwich for the morning, there's supermarket a few mins away. Oh, the owner can do boat tours, the price is quite prohibitive for solo travellers which is understandable since there are minimum costs to cover, but looks like a great excursion...
Read moreIf you are coming with caravan or some bigger car, then you have a problem. The room on the ground floor is nice, but nothing special that I would highlight. There is no feeling that you are in the old town and at the sea, except for a few details on the ceiling. Subjectively, but I am not a fan of rooms and apartments that offer modern furniture in a building located in the world-famous old town. There is a passage next to the room for all other guests, so expect noise, banging on doors and windows and children's noise. The jacuzzi is small, only for a few people and is never free because of the children who are in it 24 hours a day. The high price of the room is not realistic because you never have peace and privacy because of guests with small children who are very noisy. A money printing house with no soul except exterior. We do not drink alcohol, but here all the welcome is reduced to drinking a glass of brandy and beer, which is not something positive and worth emphasizing. Also, guests who are not staying more than 5 nights don't get care and recommendations from landlord except for most expensive restaurants which are not so good for such high prices....
Read moreGuest House Ankora gave us memories that we will never forget. The price was great for all that we received on our stay there. The owner on his bike was very quick to spot our car and lead us to the guest house. It is tucked away down a small street, which can be difficult to find. It was so clean and nice. The parking area was beautiful and had a large anchor to the side. You could tell he was a good man who loved his family and had a good heart. As we were leaving our room to go out to eat, he had a beautiful strawberry cake. 🍓 He said if we like, he would put some in our room fridge. Well, that was desert that night. He gave us needed information and let us keep our car there after we had checked out while we went to Krka. I would show you lots of beautiful pictures, but someone in Rome stole my camera. I could tell you a lot about this man that I have never forgotten. He is genuine. I would ❤️ to return and stay longer. With my daughter disabilities and our own aging bodies , I don't think we could ever make that trip across the world again, but the good memories won't go away. Really...
