A vibrant and colorful alleyway located in Central Havana. The alleyway is known for its unique and eclectic artwork, which includes murals, sculptures, and installations created by local artists. The artwork often depicts Afro-Cuban culture and religion, with vibrant colors and intricate patterns. This area is a popular destination for both tourists and locals, with live music performances and dance shows often taking place in the alleyway. Visitors can also shop for souvenirs and handcrafted items at the market stalls that line the street.

SCAM! We were walking along the malecon street when 2 cubans walking next to us started talking to us. We started making conversation with them thinking it was nice to interact with the locals. Then they mentioned that they were going to this place were music and dancing will be happening etc. we thought it sounded nice so we went there. At first we liked the scene, loads of colors and art around. The two cubans started showing us around which we didn’t really ask them to as we expected to see dancing and music and were waiting for that..but there was nothing yet. Then they continued to show us around which soon felt like they were giving us a tour and something started to feel wrong. We started realizing that this was a scam as the led us towards the bar, we kept asking them when will the show start? In 5 minutes they kept saying…(no indication of any festival happening like they mentioned) the bar had no menu, they started being a bit pushy with sitting down with them for a drink, the barman too, we could see other tourists at the tables around accompanied by cubans, and thats when we decided to leave as it was obvious to us that it was a trap to give them money.. we told them that we have something else arranged and they still did not miss the chance to ask for money from us… It is a total shame, we really thought that they were being friendly with us but they only wanted our money. So disappointing!! The man on the second picture was one of the cubans who took us there ( just to avoid being scammed too)

Don't go. IT IS A SCAM!!!! First, is just a alley with some urban modern arts. (if you don't like this kind of stuff, skip it). Second, there's always a cuban ready to start a small talk conversation which ends with in a scam of drinks (will cost you 10x more than an average drink) and/or the scam of buying cigars (which they say is the only day to buy it. it is not). Don't talk to anyone, don't be afraid to be rude. It is safe, but you'll lose money.

SCAM!! Agreed with many of the other posts. Lying locals trying to be nice to tourists and overpriced drinks. This is so atypical of our visit to Cuba where most people are genuine. Simply stay away from this entire area near the University of Havana (guards don’t let tourists visit the University). Overall, there are is just a bunch of painted bathtubs. Scammer central around this area!

Quick walk (5mins) down this alley of quirky art and sculpture. They reuse bathtubs and sink etc for sculptures and benches. At the end they ask you to buy a drink in the bar or give a donation for the children as it is a community project (not sure how much of that is true but it's what he said)
