Brilliant place. Absolutely gem. Definitely must be visited and see. Fantastic Empire style collection. Furniture, porcelain, paintings, sculptures and other decorative arts. There is also the death mask of Napoleon made by Dr François Carlo Antommarchi (a bronze cast). The collection located at the museum is a long-term work of two philanthropists Orestes Ferrara Marino (an attorney, a journalist, a writer and an entrepreneur) and Julio Lobo Olavarria (sugar trader and financier).
Museo Napoleonico has been located at Villa Fiorentina, Calle San Miguel n°1 159 Esq. Ronda Vedado. Villa Fiorentina it's a beautiful palace in the Renaissance style. A.D 1920. Villa Fiorentina was the private property of an attorney Orestes Ferrara Marino.

Read moreIt seemed bizarre to find a museum about Napoleon in Havana (I still need to investigate how that came about), but the building is absolutely stunning and in good shape and would be a reason by itself to visit! The secluded garden is also a little treasure in the busy city. Nicely decorated 19th century rooms and different artefacts from the Napoleonic era.
There was not an entrance fee but we were probably the only visitors (April 2022). We were however asked to store our bags in the storeroom and could not take them in the museum. The staff was friendly and helpful, and as in many places, provided us with hand sanitizer. There appeared to be another floor that was not open during our visit. The Museo Napoleónico (Napoleonic Museum) is located in a construction that was originally used as a home by Orestes Ferrara, one of the authors of the collection currently exhibited in the museum.
