Read moreAmazing experience. Wine tasting was €8.50 to sample 8 wines (about four or five large sips per glass), great selection of wines to try and I loved hearing the information on each wine. The food available really complimented the wines available, good portion sizes and priced well. View from the restaurant is wonderful, you can see into their vineyards and to the ocean.
Returned to this winery about a week after we initially visited for the wine tasting, just to buy some more wines for friends, told the man serving us that we'd been before and loved it and he gave us a free tea, coffee, and biscuits as thanks!
The one and only thing I would have liked differently was if someone walked you through their small museum section. Lots of great old wine making machinery in there but no signs or written explanations anywhere, so I wasn't sure what I was looking at most of the time.
HIGHLY recommend this place! But I advise you get here just as they open for a more private...
Read moreDisappointing experience unfortunately… we arrived around 4pm and wanted a bite before tasting wine, didn’t realize the restaurant closes at 4:00… but they kindly made us a cheese plate and salad and we were told that we could do a wine tasting afterwards and that they close at 6pm. When we finished eating and asked to taste wines it was 5:15pm… and at this point another lady told us they are closed and we have to leave right away. We couldn’t even walk into the mini museum anymore. I’m disappointed because I didn’t come for food, I came to try wines but didn’t want to do it on an empty stomach. And we couldn’t do food and wines at the same time either because it’s in different locations of the building. We were told we can buy bottles but I’m not going to buy something at a winery that I haven’t tried. They should update their hours on the website in this case, or allow people to experience the winery until...
