This place's benefits include a beautiful set of buildings surrounding a courtyard which can fit a large family or a little group.||On the other hand we (me & my wife) experienced awful service that clouds anything else, for the following reasons:||1) when arriving an old local lady awaited and she only knew two english words - "money" & "parking" - so no any other explanations where available.||2) The owner left a piece of paper advising about two available wifi networks and their passwords -both in a very in a verybunclear hand writing.||One net was only available (mostly outside the room) but we were unable to decypher its password and communications with owner failed repeadly.||At one point he suggested (via an SMS ) to head towards the village center where we can use its free wifi (it was app. 22 pm!!!). Any other SMS clarifications failed so we had to use our phone internet access (which cost additional fee).||3) Some ammenities lake or didn't function - such as the bathroom ventilation (entering the place in the a ng provides a strong damp odor) or leaving the place with one roll of toilet paper...
Read moreA very special place to stay, and particularly handy for visits to Akamas, Peyia and Polis if you have transport. The village itself is quiet and there are some nice eateries as well as a well-stocked supermarket and a couple of coffee bars. The accommodation is a stone built village house in a rural setting, full of character, which offers 3 independent 1 bedroom ground floor apartments and a first floor studio. The largest of the apartments, the one which we stayed in, also has an additional bed in the large living/dining area. The whole property is very well managed by a delightful and interesting couple who live just across the way, and who were extremely helpful to us during our stay, as well as being good company with a knowledge of the local area/amenities - all of which added to our enjoyment of our holiday. We are regular annual visitors to Cyprus and we would certainly recommend this...
Read moreI loved this place, a finely restored group of old stone buildings around a lovely quiet, shady yard. I had a spacious, very clean 2-room place with a terrace, simply but comfortably furnished and didn't want to ever leave! I can't vouch for the other 3 or 4 rentals but mine was faultless. I also liked the position at the edge of the village a 5 minute walk to the centre with the grocery store, tavernas, church and even a folk museum. The village's location is beautiful, an easy and lovely drive to many other villages in the region, and to the sea. It is NOT a hotel, so don't expect anyone to be around all the time...
