Lots to seeThe Agios Georgios Church near St. George and the harbour in Paphos is a beautiful site with historical and cultural significance. It’s known for its archaeological remains, including early Christian basilicas and a bath from the 6th century A.D. The church itself dates back to the 13th or 14th century B.C., with a large stone-built dome added later. It’s a popular pilgrimage site and offers stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea.

For those interested in visiting, the church operates with specific visiting hours and a small entry fee. It’s a serene place that provides a glimpse into Cyprus’s rich cultural and religious heritage, and it’s also a prime spot for witnessing the beauty of the surrounding landscape, especially during sunset.

If you’re planning a visit or want more detailed information, including the history of the excavations and visiting hours, you can refer to the Cyprus...

Beautiful Greek Orthodox church, worth taking the short walk around inside. This religion is not too dissimilar to Roman Catholicism. There are beautiful icons, framed images, (St. George, of course is a patron Saint in the Greek tradition) chalices, and a beautiful domed ceiling with a fine chandelier. Everything is very clean and there is quite Ess observed in the church as is common with all churches. You may light a candle and contribute a small contribution, but you place the long thin candle into a bed of sand which is topped up with water. I hadn't seen this idea for safety and beauty before now. The water is so still in the two circular containers at arm level that one would be forgiven for thinking at first glimpse that it was glass. There are refreshments and a canopy when you can sit and enjoy your refreshments with the sea air all round. This is one of the stops for the quads, bikes...

Areally nice view point. You need to drive towards the end of road and it's on the high. You will see there are parking, seating and toilet facility. There is no fees. It's really nice view all around. You can wait and see around. There are many boats down there. There are also some shops and cafe. You can try Ice cream. There are two locals houses who have dogs within their boundaries. But they won't come out. If you like cactus flowers there are some next to their house. We...

Very scenic, very quiet, little cove with some Archeology to be explored on the area. Crystal clear waters, little cafe and also an ice cream van which isn't too expensive. Worth a visit if you have a hire car, the walk down is quite steep, although an easy pathway or road down, so shouldn't be a problem for any age or abilities to go enjoy this are. The actual bathing area is very small, but it's also not been busy when we've visited.
