Today was one of those late hot summer days that was well into the high 30s and looking for a place to cool off. So we decided to come here for our first time. And so did everyone else. We arrived at the west end of the lake where it was literally impossible to find a parking space. We ended up parking illegally and paid the consequences of getting a parking fine. We paid the entry fee of around 120 Czech crowns and entered to a very crowded beach area. The water was not very clean, at least what I'm used to anyway. The water was green with quite a stony beach. But this being a hot day did not dissuade anyone from swimming, except me. There are two beaches. One at each end. There is a restaurant, cafe, toilets, ice cream shop, good shade from trees and well maintained park areas. Also boat hire, piers, change rooms info signs and walks along the lake. All in all a worthwhile place to visit except for the water and parking. Apparently this is an old mine from the 1800 s.
