We love this place as a family and come here every summer. If you got small kids this zoo is the perfect size - not too big or too small. There are many places where kids could release some of their steam (parents can too!). If your kids love spiders then this is not the right place as they have none in there (our son is always disappointed :-)). Most of the animals have enough space to run around and visitors have always great view over the whole area to peacefully observe them - you can spend ages looking at the animals if they are not hiding. If you love some bumpy adventure then take the Safari ride (have to pay extra) which is definitely worth it - not only you see some animals roaming freely around you but also get some interesting narrative info from the guide. Regarding food if you are not too fussy you can get a very tasty options to eat... or ice cream! :-) I can only recommend this place! And yes - the more the visitors the bigger the income and the better...
Read moreWell zoo is big and we spend a whole day there. However I was with my two children little bit disappointed. For my 2,5 year old daughter there was no play ground at all. Besides one old slide somewhere. We enjoyed the day, Saffari was the best spend 50 Kč/pp. There is a rope center (one walking pád maybe 15-20 m long) where only children from 3 were allowed and the price was 80 KČ for the whole day. It's not a lot of money but also what you pay for is not worth of it and could be according me for free. Is like you go to playground and you need to pay for the only attraction that is there that do not need any gas, electricity or water to functioning. Lady selling the tickets for the rope center is not always available so we had to wait and on the end I convinced my children to move further because after waiting 30 min I was furious. I am sorry generally I do...
Read moreVery pleasantly surprised when visited. It is very apparent that a lot of effort (and money) has been put into this project. I can nothing but recommend this zoo for a family day out! It has a lot of slides and playgrounds to keep the little ones happy, great selection of animals and plenty of places to have a snack (make sure you pack something with you if you’re vegan as there are no vegan/healthy options). The whole zoo is a smoke free zone, which I personally love! You can park for free at the Kamencove lake and then walk 5 min to the zoo or there is a parking just right by for a cost of 60CZK (cca €2.50) per day which was packed when we arrived. The only downside I found is that the zoo closes at 6PM which I found a bit too early for...
