The Black Square — Attraction in Copenhagen Municipality

One of my favourite, free of charge, places in whole Copenhagen! I've visited this square (if it could even be called a square when there is a huge hill in the middle of it) two times - once in spring and once in late summer and both times there were a bunch of enthusiasts enjoying sitting on one of the many pieces of art bought from different places around the world - chess tables from Bulgaria, lamp from Qatar, a bench from...South America. Very interesting place to visit, vibrant, colourful and diverse .. going there one would have a hint of the world and experience few things from 70 plus countries from thailand to Morocco and if you get hungry gets ur sandwiches from near by shawerma shops and enjoy the nice chess tables. Dejligt sted for folk i alle aldre... Stor asfalteret plads med en lille bakke for enden - hvor børn (og voksne) kan køre/løbe på alt med hjul. En ganske lille legeplads der består af en sort skulptur med flere rutsjebaner - ligner en blæksprutte - børnene elsker den. Mange forskellige siddepladser - både med sol og skygge. Lille stjerneformet springvand - hvor både store og små sopper - og forældre køler fødderne. Lang række borde - nogle med påmalet skakmønster - hvor fremmede mødes og spiller. Der er 2 store grille -kul medbringes. Dejlig koldt drikkevand tilgængeligt på pladsen. Cafe på hjørnet - kiosk lige om næste hjørne - flere pizzariaer - netto og andre foretninger lige i nærheden. 2 min fra nørrebrohallen hvis man har brug for toilet eller puslebord. Altid hyggelig atmosfære og gode aktiviteter.... Selv om vinteren er blæksprutten altid...
