Riplay - Børnenes Ribe — Attraction in Esbjerg Municipality

Riplay is an absolutely huge playground for children of all ages. It is also free. And beautifully situated next to lake with swans. We were on a weekend trip to Ribe with children aged 7-13, and they all loved the playground - even the teenager. It features everything from swing sets to slides, obstacle courses and towers to climb. All look to be very safe but still challenging to the children, meaning they will want to stay and explore the park for longer. What did cut our visit short was a rain shower, but that of course is not the park's fault. Ribe activity center is located across a street and features toilet facilities, vending machines and a cafe (the latter was closed during our visit, however). Amazing playground with free entrance! Worth the longer drive to this, children can spend hours here. We were there on a very warm sunny day, so we feel that there were not enough shade area and trees, that the kids got tired quickly. Will try to visit another day, when it's a bit cloudy and lower temperature, which should not be difficult to...

Der beste Spielplatz, den ich in Europa je erlebt habe. Nur Toronto mit seinen Wasserspielplätzen kann den hier noch toppen. Der Ribe-Spielplatz ist sehr sauber, überaus intakt, alles neu und für 3-99 Jahre alles vorhanden, was Spaß macht. Mein Highlight waren die parallel gestellten Seilrutschen und die Rutschentürme. Der Spielplatz glänzt mit seinen Kunstrasen und Sand unter den Spielgeräten. Des Weiteren geht bei Einbruch der Dunkelheit (wir waren im Dezember 2022 dort) mehr als ausreichend Licht auf dem Spielplatz an. Ich dachte kurzzeitig, ich stehe im Fußballstadion. 😳 Der Spielplatz bieten überaus viele Sitzmöglichkeiten, was nicht immer selbstverständlich ist. Des Weiteren gibt es dort Picknick-Bereiche und wenn man mal auf Toilette muss, darf man gern ins gegenüberliegende Einkaufszentrum gehen.
