The Cul­tural Museum Vejle — Attraction in Vejle Municipality

This is a Free culture museum and it's wheelchair accessible. Everything is on the same floor and rooms and hallways are big enough to go through. The museum is inside a bigger building.

You can learn about the danish history during the Viking era, 1920 and a few others. They currently have a renovation and should be finished in 2 weeks for new art.

As someone else has written in a review, there are not many things on display here but at the same time you can't complain too much if it's free entrance, I have been in a museum in Germany before which I had to pay and only had 1-2 rooms.

They have old machines, like stoves, irons(for clothing), viking items and plenty of more. They will tell a few things about kings during the Viking era in text and some places have audio with headphones. There is English and danish translation and some even have German language.

Great place for children and adults too. Visit on Sunday was free, and there was a lot different exhibitions - from Vejle working class history to disco clubs and old lady from the bog stories. It is definitely worth visiting and there is many interactive parts of exhibitions, that will awake a child in even...

Vi tog med tog til Vejle, Åh - hvor var det dejle…. I foyeren spiller vi mini-minigolf på de fire opstillede baner og er lidt i tvivl om det er banerne eller os, der er skæve. Videre mod dagens mål, Haraldskærkvinden, som ligger bagest i museet. Først må vi dog igennem Vejles industrialisering og dernæst en udstilling om den lokale Moulin Rouge. Så en udstilling om nattelivet 1990-2010 - vi fornemmer cigaretrøgen, dunsten af ølsjatter og måske lidt til næsen. Der er også en jukebox med Nirvana, Nik& Jay, Las Ketchup etc - musikken spiller og vi træder ind i næste udstilling - Mosens Kraft med Haraldskærkvinden. Det er godt og informativt. Inden vi er dem, der er smuttet overvejer vi, om vi skal være med i papmaché workshoppen - det bliver tommel ned, vi skal nå vores tog retur. Tak for et godt besøg - 2 voksne og 2 børn på...
