The people were nice and friendly. Of course, also trying to sell to the tourists. Taken there as part of a city & beach tour. Significant disappointment- The city had some nice areas we saw but wasted time being taken to into an ambar tourist trap. Then once we got to beach, it wasn't a well kept beach. This is a nice beach. I went here while I was at Puerto Plata and was satisfied with my experience. I walked onto the beach and set my beach towel down on the beach. The sand was nice and soft, which I liked. I came to the beach while I was on a tour, so I didn’t have to much time to be at the beach. Because of this, I didn’t go swim in the water.
