Overall, 5 stars because of what they have to offer, and the price at which they offer it! I have to take away a star because of a lot of little things. I would go again for the same low price, but not at regular prices. Rooms are very nice looking, but while little things are numerous, they're not (great) deal breakers. The room safe was not working, and water pressure was dismal. There was only one trash can, and it was in the bathroom. The alarm clock did not work, no need. The phone in the room did not work. It was replaced. I have to mention several other details to be fair: the ocean is not as warm as you expect from the carribean. Beach at the hotel is clean, but you should wear water shoes 👞 for the scattered rocks. Just before heading down to the beach, you can relax on the canopy beds 🛌 by the "Bubbles" bar where you can a fantastic Pina colada made with Baileys! Ask Jesus or Danny at the bar. Wifi is available fit a price, but you're better off taking a hotspot with you. The hotel wifi is spotty. There's a convenient shuttle to get you where you need to go in between the 4 different hotels which you access to. We were recommended the following restaurants, the Mexican, Chinese, and Brazilian. We recommended the Mexican and the Dominican 🇩🇴.
We find a lot of excellent information in the Facebook group for the hotel!! It's a must-see! Check out the available excursions, we went to Punta Rucia and Cayo Arena (highly recommend it).
While we were there, called Ray's Taxi, he came highly recommended. He and his crew, including Marco and Jorge, went well beyond what was expected with their patience and willingness to help. I highly agree with all the great things that were said about Ray's Taxi!
Other than Bubbles Bar, the Cheers bar 🍻 is great by the Cofresi lobby. Their expresso machine is magic! There's a Martini bar by the Cofresi VIP pool. The rest of the bars we tried had a very limited choice of premixed drinks 🍸 at a quality I would not pay a dollar for.
The casino is small with electronic gambling machines. I was looking for a black jack or poker table. I did not find one. One of the best pieces of advice we received from the Fb group is to take a large sports drink cup with you. The bar is willing to fill it with your favorite beverage! If you want to save money t tu this place out and ENJOY!

We went for two weeks (my husband and I, with my father in law who is a VIP gold member). We've been there multiple times more than 5, we had 5 years without going and we got very disappointed. The trip did not feel as VIP as it was years ago. We lost the first 3 days being stressed and disturbed. First about the famous tour they make so they can sell you an upgrade. They told us they needed to talk to us about the
"new things" the only things they showed and talked was about the new villas. No one mentioned the ice night club is closed, serenity beach also, tapas I not open anymore in the days, only for dinner, there’s a law that hookah are forbidden so no more at VIP Pool, etc.
2nd day we realized our room had a water leak coming from the ceiling, we reported to the reception, they said maintenance would go, they checked and according to them it was fine. When we came back it seemed worst so we went to complain about it the said the could only change us to a "non renovated room since they were fully booked on the renovated rooms" which I'm not sure at what year they were renovated because the lack of cleaning. When we entered inside the closet to check the water leak we realized there was A LOT OF mold *find the pictures attached*, as well in the shower, we did not realized the first night as we arrived exhausted from the trip. We decided to wait until day 3 to get changed as it doesn't make sense to downgrade and then to change again. On day 3 the concierge in charge of us Juana Toribio, assured us two rooms. The one of my father in law was fine, and our room had TWO beds, is not a big deal but no one informed us about having 2 beds. We just decided to leave it like that as we did not wanted to move rooms for a third time. They were ok rooms, not what we are used to. There’s a big lack of cleaning in the showers they should do deep cleaning in them.
When we showed the pictures of the mold to the front desk, to the guy trying to sell the upgrade, to Juana Toribio the concierge, their faces were like if that’s something normal, like if they would pay to stay in a room like that…
Tropical front desk staff they’re terrible, they lie on your face, they don’t care about your needs.
I heard there’s a lot of new employees so PLEASE GIVE THEM SOME TRAINING.
The shuttle service is not as efficient as before, they pick you up in the wrong places, two times we had to over walk to get the bus as they did not picked up us at the place they were supposed to.
When you go to the vineyard to get the bottles of alcohol, now it’s ONE per week, before it was ONE daily.
The guest service employee called Marianne was by far 100 times more helpful and useful than Juana. Juana was not able to do anything correctly.
The party of the Saturday’s, the first Saturday got cancelled for rain, we understood. The second one, the day was perfect for the party and they cancelled again, without giving explanations. We guessed what’s the reason and I will just not mention it, but I find this is very sad as the party serves to do a different activity.
Good things: Wilfredo De Los Santos, he’s our favorite employee ever, since we met him 10 years ago, he’s always energic, happy and treat us amazingly, always goes a step further and we want to thank him.
Jorge and Ronny from VIP pool, and the others too but I don’t remember their names, thank you for all, you were amazing too!
All the team of Harmony beach, thank you, you are awesome too. Great drinks.
The team of VIP Gourmet ( we went 3 times) they were impecable, the best service we had from all the restaurants, was here.
In conclusion, we are very disappointed stop focusing on harassing people to upgrade, focus on giving some training to your employees, to refresh your rooms, and to evaluate if you’re really giving the VIP service that you used to give before, this is not what lifestyle used to be.

My first experience at an “all-inclusive” resort and I was very disappointed.
Check-in process: very slow and we had to stand around in the lobby with a tired baby and toddler for what felt like 45 minutes. Zero welcoming vibes from the front desk staff. No real explanation about the place, the activities, etc. They put a wristband on you as if it were a concert and you have to keep it in the whole time, day and night! Not sexy. I am breastfeeding and it scratched my baby a few times. They say: don’t lose the wristband or you have to pay $200 USD. They gave us a crappy little map with a list of beaches, restaurants, etc but there is virtually no useful information in it and I was so confused and disoriented. Seriously yall, pay a graphic designer to create a useful brochure that will actually be useful for guests.
Room: we paid to be VIP (what a joke) and the quality of the rooms is super mediocre. We were assigned to a room that smelled musty/moldy, had sand on the floor, mold in the shower. One of the sinks didn’t drain. We complained that night and couldn’t get switched til the next day. This room was a little better but really the Presidential Suites is outmoded, janky, doesn’t feel clean, and feels like a motel- nothing luxurious about it. Second room didn’t have hot water at first but the next day we were able to get some. The balconies were nice except there were loads of big cockroaches hanging on the wall outside. Room keys also stopped working every day or didn’t even work at all.
Food: Breakfast buffet at the Blues restaurant in the Presidential suites was great! We went to the Casa Blanca buffet for dinner twice and enjoyed it. There’s some kind of confusing system of making reservations for the restaurants that aren’t the buffet but again, no one explained it to me and supposedly the restaurants all get “full” quickly and run out of reservations by mid morning. We were able to get one for the Pilón, the Dominican restaurant and frankly there were plenty of open tables. I think it’s a ploy to induce a false sense of scarcity so that you feel good when you get a reservation. The Pilón restaurant experience was so disappointing! The food had apparently been prepped hours before because it came out quickly and didn’t taste fresh at all- think fried fish that didn’t just get fried before it was served- blech. It felt like they wanted to rush us out of there. The music was fun and lively though- the kids enjoyed that.
There were no avocados available in the whole place. 🚫🥑
Beaches: nice enough and we enjoyed the pool near the Pilón.
Overall, your business model is crap. What an insulting joke of a place! When people pay good money for an all-inclusive experience, you should deliver high-quality and you really don’t . I would never recommend this to anyone. The “tour” on the first morning to try and upsell you is ridiculous! We sat down around a table as if we were going to have a meeting and I had to say: we have a baby and a four year old and we came to enjoy ourselves! Why are you wasting our time? The whole VIP vs not is also disagreeable. I invited a friend to the beach and she wasn’t able to come because it was reserved for VIP only wtf. There is enough inequality in the world already- you don’t need to manufacture more.

Nice resort; nothing overly fantastic. We checked in on a Sunday; party of 4 with two rooms. One room was ready, but had to wait for about an hour for the 2nd room to be ready. We requested the two rooms to be close to each other (they ended up about 8 doors down - not too bad).
The Buffet was lackluster. Not great at all. The same foods every day. Breakfast was the worst. I love Dominican food, but every breakfast, lunch and dinner was the same typical Dominican meal with few other options. Just nothing great.
Room was nice. Clean; AC worked wonderfully. It would take a little bit of time for the water to heat up, but it was nice.
VIP Pool is amazing (if you have a VIP status, go!) The drink menu is nice; the food menu is average. The burger was probably the best thing on it.
VIP Beach is also very nice. A bit crowded (as in lots of beds and everything close together) but nice. The Bartenders there are awesome!
The lifeguards and “animation” guys (at the main pool) can get a bit aggressive and pushy. That made it a bit uncomfortable being at the pool.
It would be awesome if the workers would explain better things that we need to know. For instance, they told us we had VIP status - but that doesn't mean we can use all the VIP status amenities. There is another VIP status you must have to use certain things, but they don't tell you that. Also, when going to one of the restaurants, we asked for directions and got a "Keep walking that way" response... but had no idea where we were going. It would be nice for a little more interest in telling patrons where to go.
Restaurants:
Moomtaz. What a disappointment. When we made the reservation, we were told the menu has been switched to Thai food. It was the absolute worst meal we had all week.
I had Flipped Rice with chicken and the chicken was so dry and tough.
My daughter ordered the Pad Thai Voon Sen that had "crushed peanuts" and it was more like two tablespoons of watered down peanut butter with noodles. It was bad. She ate about 2 bites and left the rest of the food.
My other daughter had the Thai Curry with Chicken - chicken was also very dry. It definitely was not curry. Not sure what it was.
Last ordered was Kow pad Moo Dang - BBQ pork Fried Rice. Very basic fried rice. No thai flavors, no BBQ flavor. Just nothing.
Nothing of what we ordered was Thai.
We ended up going to the buffet after dinner.
Trapiche: Everything was OK. Nothing spectacular.
We ordered the Alambre (fajitas), which were very good.
Salmon was good as well.
Shrimp Enchiladas were OK. Beef tampiquena was good too.
Good and Ok... that was the meal.
Our reservation was a 7pm (restaurant opened at 6) and when we ordered they were already out of ribs.
I was looking forward to the Chinola (passion fruit) margarita. But, somehow they were out of passionfruit as well :( We ordered the regular margarita. Eh... it was ok. I've made better margaritas at home with the premade mixes.
MOONLIGHT restaurant: BEST meal we had.
Get the steak. Best steak, meal we had all week.

To start with, this was my first Caribbean resort stay, with an all inclusive option. Overall the experience was good. The food was decent, the pools were great, and the activities on the resort were fun.
There's some sort of hierarchy when it comes to your resort status, and based on that you'll have access to different parts of the resort. I think you have to be an owner to really get access, but I'm not sure. They never really explain it anywhere. We had access to several of the buffets, two beaches, and many of the bars.
Pick up at the airport was included in our stay. The trip to the resort was a bit of a drive, and they charged $55 to take us back at the end of our trip. Arrival was smooth, they gave us a map and stood us what areas we had access to, as well as the schedule of events on the resort.
Our room was really great. AC kept it a cool 19C the whole time. The shower was large, and the balcony overlooked one of the pools. The bed was comfy, there was water, beer, and soda in the fridge that was stocked daily. TV, coffee maker, etc etc. Pretty standard stuff for a decent hotel. Weirdly the safe in the room was extra, if you wanted to use it.
My only complaint about the room was the water in the shower. Hot water didn't work all the time, and occasionally the water pressure would drop to a trickle. There were outdoor showers at every pool and the beach entrances though, so you could always rinse off before going back to your room.
The buffet we used, Casa Blanca, was great. The food offered changed every day, and they had several cooking stations that offered things like grilled fish, smoothies, omelettes, and pasta. There was always salad and fruit available during meal times. Some very picky people may have trouble finding something they like, but there's a lot to choose from. The quality was decent. I would've liked more local foods offered, but what they had was good enough.
The staff mostly spoke English and were very helpful. The salespeople are very pushy though, so you have to be firm with them. They sell pictures, excursions, cigars, and massages. The massages are really nice, and if you book one the rest of them will leave you be. That's how we did it anyway 😅.
If I had to pick one complaint, it's the amount of stairs. There are stairs everywhere. I'm not sure if there are more handicapped accessible areas on the resort, but many places we visited didn't have an option other than stairs. Staying on the third floor really helped offset the buffet.

Not a timeshare. You have access whenever you want to go. You also have the ability to visit other resorts at great rates.
