"One of the most peaceful places around!" Safe for families and tourists friendly alike. 🌴🏖️🌊 This location is a semi-private beach. Great for relaxation, socialization & swimming. Snorkel on nearby reef or play in the sand. Local spear fishers are common sight. As well, assortments of natural wildlife. Select vendors walk the beach when it's busy. But this is not somewhere you were be hassled. Busier on the weekend with locals (east end). • Often a place for family cookouts & BBQs • Overall family and tourist friendly Week day popular with cruise tourists (west end). This is a frequented location by local expats. Multiple restaurants, cafe's and bars beachside, with selections of food & beverages to choose. Lounge chairs are owned by local businesses. However walk out/setup anywhere you like... 🌴🏖️🌊

Playa Grande was a bit of a disappointment where we went. The beach had lots of garbage on it, stray animals, and even some of the locals started fist fighting right on the beach near the clubhouse. We left there immediately. It didn’t feel safe or relaxing. We left to a better beach right afterward. People just flocked towards us to rent us seats and shelter and trying to sell us anything from cell phone cases to cheese. Will not be going back.

Is recommended for strong swimmers. There is a hidden beach next to it called playa preciosa is very lonely and strong waves as well. The fried fish is delicious. They have a little corner and reef and you can observe all kinds of fish. Beautiful
