The Al fanar beach itself is a friendly private beach on a cliff. You pay 100 egp per person to enter (we paid 6 USD - a fair FX rate). For this you get a towel and a sun bed. There are good showers and toilets, but we were somewhat scared to use them. Regarding the reef itself, you enter it from a pier and you can swim to your left and right. In you right there some nice slopes of coral. Someone may not enjoy the high drops of the cliffs (100 feet or more?). Furthermore watchout for some strong currents (do not swim beyond a white pillar you can see on the surface - turn back before). On the right from the pier there are multiple lagoons to explore but the quality of the coral is somewhat poor. Moreover one needs to be vigilant of many tourist boats passing a bit...

El Fanar Beach is really good for snorkeling. You can access the water through the neighbouring jetty. You'll see really big fish and lots of divers in deep water. The reef wall has beautiful corals. Fee for a sunbed is 150EGP, you must bring your own towel. There are openair showers, toilets are dirty. There is no space between the sunbeds, you get to know each other but I found the people there decent. On top of the hill there is a cafeteria with not many vegetarian options. They make a decent pizza, but the grilled vegetables I cannot recommend. Stay away from the tomato soup, it' s gross. I went to the beach club from Naama Bay with the new e-busses. The final stop of line SH4 is right in front of...

Amazing corals. Idyllic place for diving and snorkeling. I loved there. You can see in my photos that the place is a paradise. The bar and restaurant is very good. Excellent attention, good food. The only unfortunate situation was that I got stolen a small bag with money and my credit card. The owner of the bar was extremely helpful, providing help, looking for the carema footage to identify the thief (see video, it is funny how she picked from the floor) and even accompanied me to the hotel where we thought the thief was living. Unfortunately I did not recovered neither my money nor the card. However I must say that the people there did there best to help in this appalling situation. I highly...

I didn’t enjoy our visit at all. The sun loungers were dusty and sandy, and finding a free one felt like a fishing expedition. Everywhere else we've been was much better organised, with staff kindly pointing out unoccupied loungers. The pathway was covered in annoying little pebbles, and there was no proper swimming area—the water doesn’t even reach waist height. To see the corals, you have to swim quite far out, and most nearby corals are bleached and damaged by careless snorkelers. The snorkeling equipment is overpriced for its poor quality. The toilets are dark and, to say the least, unclean.
