Let me start by saying that this must be my second or third review ever as I rarely feel the need to speak up (positively or negatively). We arrived in this fake scenario well aware that we were going into a tourist trap (we are a couple and we travelled quite a lot around the world so we got a feeling by now) but, nevertheless, we decided to stop as we live nearby for a quick aperitivo. We ordered two cocktails and one "bread and sauces" and, of course, the food was beyond mediocre and the drinks were quite bad but again, we knew it from the beginning it was going to be bad and we were ok with that. The moment we go to pay they tell us it is cash only cause the machine does not work. Annoying that we were not told at the beginning as in that moment we were short on cash and we would have gone to another place (Farsha is 20m away from this place and even though the food quality is the same, the service is 1000x better). Again it is fine, you win some and you lose some, we tell them that we have some euros at home and that I will bring them back. We leave the place and after 50m a guy from the place run to us to "escort" us home and ensure we pay our 14 euros bill... They could have asked us for a collateral at the cashier, they could have told us that someone was gonna come with us and get the money, they could have indicated us a nearby ATM... everything but getting us a secret escort that comes up in the end... AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! I would never give a place a bad review or a 1-star review, but this place really forced me to do this, hopefully the owner reads this and starts taking his business seriously. The worst food in my life, very bland and no taste at all. The bread is not bread it is over done crackers. Furthermore, be ready to wait 30+ minutes for your starter and another 45+ min for your main dish while the restaurant is empty. The view is amazing but ask to make photos only. Don’t waste your money on this, it will ruin your thought of food in egypt. There is a reason nobody sits here and the neighours are full the whole day. Go here for photos and eat somewhere else. Oh! I have seen a lot of places in my life, believe me when I say this is the most bad place I have ever eaten. You get ripped off where you stand. The food was worse than bad. The meat was hard as stone, fries were wet and soft, the pasta was topped with a bowl of salt and when you pointed this out you were ignored. The only real time they gave me a moment's attention and kind of listened to me was when I was almost in the kitchen to point this out and even then they didn't bother to discount. We had to pay full price despite barely eating. I recommend you all not to eat here, the only positive thing about this place is and was the fact that it looks nice but other than that I would not want to be found dead there. 1 star is even too much for this circus tent!
