Elfanar beach — Restaurant in South Sinai

Great beach packed with tourists but maybe not nice for (conservative) families as the atmosphere is for youngish crowds. However, the views are great and the jetty leads to one of the greatest accessible beach corals. Make sure to snorkel to the right section from the jetty heading to the lighthouse (fanar) and Jaz resort not the other direction which has strong currents particularly close to the fixed white floating ball and flag that seems to be installed as warning not to pass this point. The water is great. I could stay for hours swimming and snorkeling. The corals are in excellent condition maybe not fantastic but still very enjoyable. The entrance was 100 EGP per person providing you with one super cold mineral water and large towel. One strange thing is that the air flow in the beach is very weak maybe because of the surrounding hill that prevents free flow of air. Only recommended if you like photography, snorkeling and diving. Otherwise, not...

DON’T GO THERE ! WORST FOOD literally disgusting. We went there because we thought it would be a nice place to eat seafood. We ordered mixed fried seafood and barbecued shrimps . The food was so bad and disgusting . The shrimp was fried with the shell on and the batter on it which means it wasn’t cleaned and you are supposed to eat with the shell on since there’s no way to take the shell on after it is fried . We also ordered gnocchi which was so bad and after I told the waiter that we need to talk to the manager because it’s so bad he said he’s the only one there. So idk if the waiter is also the chef and the manager at the same time .they didn’t give us any discount and that day we woke up with diarrhea and vomiting all 6 of us . I don’t like writing reviews but all of us are in the hospitality field and we know how a restaurant should operate and that’s why I don’t want anyone to experience the same...

El Fanar ( light house ) it’s actually one of sharm Rl sheikh icons ; very nice place where located direct to the Red Sea in very simple design from wood and you always feel comfortable there ; as Resturant one of the best place where you can eat Italian Pizza ; and enjoying your chill out on the beach and enjoying by sun ; or you can jump to water and had your snorkeling in very good spot full of reef ; it’s my favorite place also to drink your coffee in morning...
