Stayed at the hotel on this resort. Firstly, booked hotel transport never arrived.Called 5 times, the line disconnected. Take one of the taxes and negotiate a price to your hotel far cheaper than what the hotel charges you. It cost us four hundred egyptian pounds to go from the airport to the hollywood resort. When we arrived, the all-inclusive price had finished at 10 PM? After that , you had to pay, and you paid through the nose for little drinks. We booked 2 ground floor rooms due to mobility issues, the amount of slopes and stairs we had to go up to for our room caused a great deal of pain.So the following day we went to reception and we said should have been ground floor rooms as this is what our confirmation said. It's amazing how they speak english perfectly well when they are checking you in, but when you are making a complaint or explaining why you are unhappy they suddenly forget any english they understand or can speak and they look at you with blank expressions. We were told that we had VIP rooms and the rooms were massive. They were great, although exceptionally old reasonably clean the bathrooms were falling apart, boiling hot water from tap, showers and toilets and bedbugs bit us everywhere, not just our rooms , but many other customers as well. We were shown 2 ground floor rooms that basically stepped out onto the pool area. These rooms were very much smaller, very much older and damp, and they stank. Obviously, we declined these rooms and decided on the better of the 2 evils, just take our time going up and down the steps being supported by 'no hand rails' , just our partners! To the mini bar , this turned out to be just an empty fridge! So again, another chat with the reception asking why have we got an empty fridge? When a mini-bar is supposed to be included. No answer just at 5 PM for the next 2 days, 2 young men arrived at our doors. With 2 cans of Coke, 2 cans of Sprite, 2 cans of Fanta, and a plate of whole melon, orange, and papaya. Not a knife or chopping board in sight, nor glasses. The remain of the holiday no one turned up with the drinks. We were fed up with asking at reception. We shouldn't need to.This was all-inclusive; this should have been included, and obviously, it wasn't.They were trying to get away with doing as little as possible. The 1st day at the pool. We were looking forward to a nice cold beer while sitting on our lounges. Next to the pool, the lounges were in various states of disrepair. The tables were rusting sharp metal edges, which children could catch themselves on, or even an adult could catch themselves on the pool had missing tiles, Dirty tiles around the edge where there hadn't been cleaned properly and that nice. Cold beer less than a quarter of a pint came in a small paper or plastic cup. We couldn't believe it. You couldn't have a whole pint. You couldn't have a cocktail there, although the information sheet given said you could, but you couldn't. You had to walk to the bar, and you weren't allowed in the bar in your pool clothes. The self-service buffet breakfast was awful. I have had buffet breakfasts in many hotels around the world. And they always cater for Western taste. No toast those scrambled eggs. They're fried eggs. You could have an omelette which was freshly made and nice.Because they don't eat pork there's no bacon, no sausages. The food looked like it was left from yesterday's evening meal. Eventually, some small pastries were available. Water slides & park decor falling apart. Litter and cigarette butts all over the park walkways, no handrails. Public toilets x 1 were dirty & no loo roll. Dead pigeon near pool for whole week. Rubbish dump 300m from kids pool. Alternative bars closed. We ate a few meals but decided to go into Naama Bay, and others ordered MacDs! Ran out of beer & wine! Ppl were angry, and the staff were embarrassed. Managers did little to sort it. They tried to resolve our issues, but we got fed up with complaining as it was ruining our holiday. To cap it all, we had to wait while they checked our rooms for...
Read moreMe and my family went a few years ago, it was amazing, loads of shops, everything was lit up and colourful and waterworks on all night, it was absolutely amazing, now we just went last night (Monday 9th September 2024) we paid £6 per person to go in, there was 7 of us so it cost £42 to find out that 90% of the park has been closed off and shut down. We were escorted to a table and practically weren't allowed to leave, most of us needed to go toilet and saw the signs pointing to the corner of the park (where the toilets were last time) to just find trash on the floor, the women's toilets in complete darkness and got escorted back to the table, after using Google translate to communicate with all the staff to say "where are the toilets please" we were taken behind the stage where there were stairs going down, no signage to tell anyone where they were. Anyway, my mum, sister and sister in law did not want to sit down on the toilets and described it as a toilet you would only see in apocalyptic movies. We all had to go toilet again a few times that night at separate times and every time we went, a member of staff followed us to it, it takes about 10seconds to walk to them after knowing where they are so they can't use the excuse of making sure we weren't wondering around the park. Now when we bought the ticket, we were told food and drinks were free, this was a complete lie, the "first" drink was free, not all, just the first unlike what we were told, and the first drink was a bottle of water that they already put down, we weren't told to pay until after we went to leave, 7 of us having 2 to 3 drinks each and they charged us £120 ish and then food, non of it is free, infact a man was walking around with popcorn and candyfloss and walked up to my 8 year old brother and offered him some, now we were told it was free, so we let him take some, he took the box of popcorn and the man just stood there, waited until my little brother put 1 piece into his mouth and they held out his hand and said "5 dollar", oh and unlike the hotels, don't bother taking your bank cards cos we had to accumulate £5 in change since they don't accept card. And the best part is, compared to all the entertainment that was there when we last came, the only thing now was a bunch of kids being sang happy birthday and all the kids on the stage singing baby shark and barbie girl. The water works finally came on at 10pm but was only a fraction of what there used to be. And as for shops, there is now only one shop open and it only sells fridge magnets and beeded braclets. Unfortunately for us we pre-booked our taxi from our hotel so we got dropped off at 7.40ish pm and had to stay until 10.30pm. As far as we're aware, they're has not been any updates to Hollywood's website or images and infact, on the stage, they were playing advertisement videos of what they used to look like. Don't believe anything you see about this place on any social media and definitely do not go, plus as we found out, they also don't do...
Read more1 star for archeology….thats it. Poor food, it’s how I imagined prison food. Same food everyday, until we complained then they started to shuffle the menu about. You have to keep queuing for drinks and then they give you small baby plastic cups. I never been so dehydrated on holiday before. The restaurant is quite small as well and no air conditioning. Flys everywhere. The toilets in the restaurant were clean and the waiting staff were very nice especially Tariq the drinks guy. The rooms- basic and we had a lot of problems ie ac leaking water on the electrics. In the end the ac stopped working altogether. The cleaners were very nice but did a very basic job. The aqua park had only 3 slides and then a baby area so I wouldn’t really call it an aqua park. The other pool area where they did yoga, aqua aerobics was the better part of the pools. I felt much safer my kids going there. The water was not clean. I never ones saw the pools get cleaned and I stayed 14 nights!!!! And my room was by the pool. They served drinks at the pool but one area I could see them serving so you had to walk a distance to get a small baby cup of a drink! In your room they only stocked up two small 250ml bottled water…….in a room of 3 adults and 2 small children!!!!!! I should report you to the police for denying basic needs!!!! It got to the point wheee I went to the local shop and stocked up on soft drinks and water. Bear in mind I paid all inclusive!!! The reception staff were the most useless nothing for to say. The best person was the man guarding the animal park outside. Such a kind person. I don’t know who is rating 5 star I reckon all sham accounts. Absolutely worst hotel I’ve ever been too. Should be shut down. Ohh and they over over OVER charge you for water!!! Just go to the local shop get the same for more than half the difference!
Overall—— should be...
