My experience at Entoto Park was one I won’t forget. The cold wind and high altitude didn’t compare to the fun we were about to have. First, the trampoline park was our first event. The basketball hoops and the super trampoline add to the excitement. Second, we proceeded to the go-karts and this was what sold the experience for me the high speed, tight turns and drift, and your adrenaline going through the roof, I loved every part of it but I do wish it was a bit longer: 2 laps just ain't enough but I get it its a business after all. Third, we made our way to the zipline only a brisk walk from the attractions we just went to. Here you become friends with fear and realize that all of life's greatest adventures are hidden behind fear. I sat as the instructor told me and leaped into the wind—feeling as if I could fly. Although it was cut short as the zipline ended, there were two more of those waiting for me and I think that just adds to the experience, but the 10 minutes I spent walking back to base, with our hear on could have been shorted by a dedicated route for zipliner to go back to base. And lastly, the zipline Obstacle course. A mix of challenging courses with the laughs of your friends. This unique fast-paced and strategic approach adds a nice touch listen to your instructor, I didn't and I got my leg hit—mild pain that could have been avoided if I had just listened. As the end of our time at Entoto Park came to an end, we admired the flower garden and the kids' playground on our way to Mama’s kitchen, where we had a really good fasting dining experience and the half-chicken looked like a buffet in itself. We devoured our food as we were hungry from all the attractions we had just gone through. To top it all off we had a surprise plate come in for a secret birthday 😉. The waiters and staff were honest and amazing, even asking about our experience (not a common thing in Ethiopia). Overall for someone looking for a good time at a semi-high price, Entoro has managed to encompass the spirit of Ethiopia into every experience from the jokes our zipline instructor cracked to the staff at Mama’s kitchen who gave me the keys to the toilet. So come to Entoto and don't let your fears hold you back from having the experience of a lifetime.

My recent visit to Entoto Park in Ethiopia was nothing short of extraordinary. The park itself offered a serene and beautiful green space, complete with friendly horses and a picturesque environment. Entoto Park's commitment to cleanliness and the exceptional service I encountered during my stay truly left a lasting impression. One of the standout aspects of my visit was the exceptional service provided by Aduna Abera. Aduna's warm and attentive demeanor added an extra layer of hospitality to our experience. He took the time to ensure our comfort by providing heaters for the chilly nights, and his delicious Ethiopian coffee, expertly prepared each morning and evening, was a delightful treat. Aduna's dedication to making our stay special was evident in every detail. While most of our experience at Entoto Park was exceptional, I must mention a minor hiccup concerning the food. The pizza we ordered wasn't up to par, and on another occasion, the chips were not cooked properly. However, these were minor issues in an otherwise outstanding visit. What truly stood out, beyond Aduna's excellent service, was the friendliness and professionalism of the entire staff, from the welcoming reception team to the helpful car park attendants. Their genuine warmth added to the overall inviting atmosphere of the park. In conclusion, I highly recommend a visit to Entoto Park for its natural beauty, peaceful surroundings, and the exceptional service provided by Aduna Abera and the entire staff. It's a perfect destination for nature enthusiasts and anyone looking for a tranquil escape. Despite the minor food issues, I'm eagerly looking forward to returning to this remarkable destination in the future.

For foreigners, the entrance fee to the park is now 1,000 Ethiopian Birr (less than 8 Euros/USD as of August 10, 2024) due to the depreciation of the Ethiopian currency. This is lower than the 20 USD advertised at the ticket window, which might make it seem like a worthwhile visit. However, in our experience, it wasn’t worth it. We used Apple Pay to purchase tickets in Ethiopian Birr, and while the lower price influenced our decision to visit, the experience fell far short of expectations. It took us more than 3 hours to complete the circuit, but there were no basic amenities provided with the ticket. All the restaurants inside the park were closed, so we highly recommend bringing your own snacks, such as peanuts or candy. Otherwise, you’ll be left with only the overpriced options at the park entrance. The toilets were in unacceptable condition—dirty and poorly maintained, which was disappointing for a place charging an entrance fee. If you’re traveling alone, leaving the park can also be challenging. Taxis waiting near the exit charge exorbitant rates, often five times more than what the local Ride app shows. Keep in mind that Ride app vehicles cannot access the park exit directly. Instead, you’ll need to walk about five minutes to the main road, where you can easily book a Ride app taxi at a fair price. Overall, if you’re short on time in Ethiopia, this park is not worth the visit. It offers little beyond basic hiking trails, which are similar to those you can find in many places in Europe or Asia, but with fewer facilities and services. Unless you’re very keen on exploring this specific area, you’re better off prioritising other attractions.

It was my first time going up to this newly inaugurated Park. The way up is still very dangerous with narrow and curved roads driven by fast and reckless taxi drivers, but it will be better I'm sure as the road from shero Meda side is under construction to be four lane road. The entrance is free but if you're coming with your own car the parking outside is very expensive 15-20birr per hour. ( relative to Addis parking fee). For that matter parking isn't available at all three gates yet, but it's under construction. We entered from Sululta gate and was offered to rent bicycle ( forgot to ask the price). After about 200 metres one more entrance ( directly from the parking area), a guard was asking to see our ID and have us visitors budge ( non of these two make sense as there is no use for the budge and the purpose of showing the ID isn't clear). People are walking on both the walking and bike lane, so I guess mot much biking is done. The free shuttle taking visitors from point to point are mini vans ( not golf carts initially intended), the shuttles are driving like taxis out the regular road, which is very very dangerous for pedestrians specially with kids. This short visit we dedicated for kuriftu spa appointment, lunch at kuriftu restaurant and sight seeing from the observatory. ( kuriftu I wrote separate reviews). To conclude this visit, amazing park, great place to enjoy nature and some quality time with family. I guess that things will get better as time goes by.

Entoto Park is a remarkable destination located at the peak of the Finfinne mountain range, initiated by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD). It offers visitors an opportunity to explore a pristine natural environment characterized by clear streams, waterfalls, and dramatic landscapes, making it ideal for relaxation and various water activities. Key Features: Natural Beauty: The park is set within a lush eucalyptus forest, often referred to as "the lung of Finfinne," thanks to its expansive greenery and clean air. Athletic Training Ground: The area is popular among Ethiopia's elite athletes and aspiring runners, providing a beautiful and invigorating environment for training. Recreational Facilities: Entoto Park boasts a wide range of amenities, including: Playgrounds for children A cinema for entertainment Restaurants and cafes for dining An artificial lake for leisure activities Art galleries to showcase local art Spas and sports centers for relaxation and fitness Facilities for both indoor and outdoor activities Overall, Entoto Park has become a must-visit attraction in Finfinne, thanks to its natural charm and diverse recreational offerings, making it a perfect spot for anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors and experience one of the most refreshing places in the city.

A relaxing experience with the gentle soothing sound of the trees and the beautiful scenery. Started with a heavy breakfast choice at fresh corner Cheeseburger👌 and juice👎(don't order the pineapple juice..no bueno!.), took a long quite peaceful walk had to stop @ Bilos for a coffee break(very positive and welcoming staff of one) and went on upto Professor Mesfin's(R.I.P) bookstore and souvenir shop which was small but packed with history (only downside was one of the staff was washing his feet right infront of the entrance which is a big No No) went on to the Sululta ber for a while then trailed back towards the Addisu Gebeya ber. My recommendation would be to make a more simpler map as many people were confused and asking for directions and another thing I would point out is for anybody coming to checkout the women empowerment shops as well as the steel structure statue representing the strong women that carry firewood and know that you are contributing for them when you buy soda or water from them and dispose of your plastic containers in the PetCo cans. Definitely a place to visit if you are into trailing through lushy nature while getting the view of the city.
