I have mixed feelings about my visit to this castle. On the positive side, the interior is well-maintained and beautiful, with knowledgeable and helpful guides. It would have been nice to learn about the service areas of the castle, such as the kitchen or the bathrooms, but this isn't a major issue. What urgently needs improvement is the management of school groups. They should limit the number of students and the hours they can visit, as the large, barely supervised groups of kids ruin the experience for individual visitors. The staff also needs to take more ownership and be more proactive in certain situations. During our visit, there was a known water shortage in the main building, yet the staff did not inform visitors about the related inconveniences in the washrooms. We had to wander around the park to find a fountain to rinse the soap off our hands because the cashiers didn't even offer bottled water for this purpose.

My son advised me to put 2* out of 5 and he is right. We travelled to this place from Budapest, which is fairly 180km one way so double to the return. They have no common charges for family, no electronic giude, so we asked for guided tour in English, which is on the menu and not cheap... Cashier phoned somewhere and when she hang up, her only answer was NO. Basically understand like NO. So we took a walk, there are boards with Hu, En and Germ text in each room. Btw, very nice palace, full of great history. Caffeteria in the courtyard - very nice place, but get ready, they will serve all local people first and come to you for order when everybody else is served. Eating in restaurant, buying souvenirs - need to have a bunch of cash. They do not accept debit, or credit cards in many places. Back in 19th century, cash economy.

Very nice castle ( the garden), but the reason I gave just 3 stars is because I had opportunity just to visit the garden because of very unkind woman yesterday at the ticket office (it was middle age-dark hair woman at the left side of the desk, the blond woman ticket officer seems to be much nicer). My group of visitors waited for15-20 minutes in the queue ( they said that we have to buy 50 individual tickets and no possibility of group tickets) but when finaly I was the next to buy the...
