Roihuvuori Cherry Tree Park — Attraction in Helsinki sub-region

Date of Visit: 13.05.23 Parking: Roadside This beautiful cherry tree park in Helsinki blossoms for very short period in Spring. The whole regions in pink cherry flowers looks magnificent. The place is crowded and little difficult to find parking place mostly on a weekend. Lot of people doing photography and picnic around. Unique park to experience and experiment your photography skills and chilling out. You can spend a whole evening hanging out with friends and family. Few stalls serve burgers, ice screams and...

It was beautiful! The cherry blossoms were in full bloom 😍

The ground was unusually dry this year (2021). This made it very dusty and not ideal as picnic grounds. Unlike previous years where there wasore grass and the ground is perfect (not wet, dry; but not too dry). That's why it only has 4 stars for me.

There were food trucks already. I think it is good that some people already put some business around it.

There is no public toilet...

An excellent afternoon walk, even when the cherry trees aren't blossoming. And so close to the absolute best authentic Japanese sushi place in Finland, right nearby. There's also a very good Thai restaurant, and a pizza place. Also, the coffee shop across the street from the brilliant Japanese Park is a tip top experience, winter or summer. Trail running on the hill, and good fishing nearby, so nice for a healthy walk......
