Mr.Pastrami Herttoniemi — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

Me and my husband were welcomed in really warmly to restaurant and the owner told us about the pastrami and other foods so well, it made it easy to choose what we wanted to eat this time. It has to be the Reuben Pastrami with mac and cheese and cole slaw side dishes. Oh boy , was it the right option to choose! 😋 The taste of the pastrami was mouth watering good, tender and juicy. When you use this good quality meat that is prepaired with years of experience and love of BBQ, the meat itself is the star! It doesn’t need fancy, exotic sauces or toppings that will hide the meats flavour with it. It was perfect the way it was. Pure perfection...

Super friendly staff, quick service, and DELICIOUS food! We got a great little sampling, trying the Reuben and Smoked Brisket with coleslaw, potato salad, mac 'n' cheese, and baked beans as the sides. If you've ever been to a New York deli, that's exactly what you should expect. Juicy, melt-in-your-mouth pastrami and thick, flaky brisket with high quality breads.

The inside dining area is very modern industrial and the patio is perfectly situated to get a nice bit of sun with plenty of umbrellas to keep from burning up.

Definitely worth the trip, we will be back everytime we miss an...

Finally a BBQ joint in Helsinki that takes the time necessary to get that melt-in-your-mouth experience that's missing from all the generic smoked meats you find at other restaurants in the capital area. The owner was keen to tell us how the food is prepared and although pricey I'll definitely be back (quality food takes time and money!). I had the Pastrami Ruben and couldn't recommend it more. Sides were also delicious! Also a huge shout out to the owner for seeing the value in getting more smoked meat restaurants in Finland and for giving praise to JJ's BBQ in Salo which is the closest...
