The Volkwagen auto Museum is located in Wolfsburg city that you can access by train from Berlin central station and takes around little more than one hour to get there. The museum doesn’t have a really high tech or modern structure, but it was fun to visit and we spent sometime there checking the VW history, the old Beetles from 60’s, 70’s, 80’s etc with all their styles and some famous models as the one used in the movie “The Love Bug” from Disney. It was kind of emotional to visit it, lots of good memories. The entrance fees it was $6.00 euros only and the city also offers other activities to do as Autostadt and there is an outlet mall near the train station if you want to do some shopping. Eli: 4+ / Serge: 4+ Recommended: Yes, it was fun to check it out.

The museum is interesting for the fans of the VW brand. The staff is very friendly and helpful, some of them speak not only English but also Polish. The tickets are affordable, and there are some discounts available. You can also get a small discount at the big museum when showing the ticket from this one. The exhibition is interesting, the overall experience is relaxing and nice. However, I have to point out that this is not a good museum to come with a small kid as there is absolutely no place to change a diaper in neither of the restrooms despite lots of room in them. I had to put my kid on the floor which was quite uncomfortable.

If you like VW's, this is your pilgrimage place. They cover the gamut, from the early pre- and post-war air-cooled days, up through the water-cooled transition. I am an air-cooled fan, and it did not disappoint. Stood inches from split windows, a Kubelwagen, Schwimmwagen, and many other rare VW's. As much as I wanted to, I dared not touch them! The only disappointment was no Hebmuller to be found! Still hoping to see one in person some day! Cool gift shop as well, not over the top. VW factory (and Autostadt museum) within 5 minutes. Well worth the visit if you are nostalgic for the old-school VW!

The charitable owned and operated museum, with a fantastic collection all total dedicated to VW Set in a former clothing factory, not to far from where new Volkswagens are now made It is fantasticly laid out Not cluttered, bright and easy to move around and to actually see the cars an display Some intresting information along the way,but you are not bogged down with lots and lots of writing on boards The cars, be it classics,or one of versions, to test models and over land converted models...
