Visiting Terre Ugo was the highlight of our trip to Aix-en-Provence! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning beauty of the lavender fields stretching out as far as the eye can see. The vibrant purple hues and the intoxicating scent of lavender made for an unforgettable sensory experience.

The guided tour was both informative and engaging. We learned so much about the history of lavender cultivation. Our guide was passionate and knowledgeable, making the experience even more enjoyable.

The entire estate is impeccably maintained, offering a peaceful and relaxing environment. Whether you’re strolling through the fields, sitting by the small pond, or enjoying a lavender-infused treat, you can truly feel the love and dedication that the family has put into this place.

The on-site shop is a lavender lover's paradise! We couldn't resist taking home some of their beautifully crafted lavender products, which will always remind us of our wonderful day at Terre Ugo.

If you're in Provence, Terre Ugo is an absolute must-visit. It’s more than just a lavender farm; it’s a place to connect with nature, learn about the rich traditions of the region, and create lasting memories. We can't...

The smell of lavender = instant relaxation. This is a small farm but they have created a friendly place where you can slow down, relax and enjoy a few hours surrounded by the smell of lavender. Here I discovered that reading a book whilst surrounded by the relaxing smell of lavender is one of life’s pleasures! We were warmly welcomed with a small bag of lavender salt then listened to a short talk about how they use natural means to control weeds, the white snails, how they had to replant due to excess heat last year, etc. All the staff were smiling and helpful - immediately running over to help move a picnic bench into the shade, helping with dietary needs in the cafe and joking in the shop. We ate food from the small cafe which was delicious (see photo) but we could have brought a picnic too. We walked, took photos then lay down and read our books in the shade on the rugs they provide. They have information posts, pétanque and soap making and a shop too. Easy to get to - no.12 bus goes from the centre of Aix and stops right outside, pay by credit/debit card machine on the bus. Photos of the lavender, a poppy amongst the lavender, lunch, book in the shade, rows on right with baby plants, information...

Agreed with others. Price is too steep (7 euro/person) for what is offered- a smallish field with lavender mixed with other plants so the color is less intense and part of the field seemed harvested so the landscape wasn’t as impressive when compared to other lavender fields. Also, the boutique was overpriced as well. We didn’t do the soap workshop, but we discussed with a family who participated and they were disappointed due to the high price and value of the craft outcome. I do not recommend Terre Ugo unless they lower their price entrance, offer more affordable store items (as you can find these all around Provence at a much lower cost), and improve their soap making experience or lower its cost. When I asked the attendant of their “artisanal” lavender lollipops, she wasn’t able to provide the list of ingredients. I suggest other places to visit (like Valensole, Sault, etc) as we felt the landscape less impressive than expected, the tour superficial and short and the offerings quite lacking for the high price we paid.

Not good. We went from Aix in bus because it was recommended in the tourist office in Aix. We were happy to make a soap workshop but when we reached there It is incredibly expensive. You pay 7€ to be able to see the small field which at the end it only has one part full of lavenders, the rest is full of bad herbs. They don’t even explain. Only the main map of the place. The shop is incredibly expensive, a bunch of lavender is 7.5€ and let me say, not even in centre ville of Aix. So after 1 hour we finally went to the soap workshop at 4pm (they told us it was our slot) but not one knew, we got nothing and then 15min after we asked, they said they “didnt see us” and then they made a 30sec explanation. They gave us a wax cilinder and some tools. The soap doesnt even smell at lavender. Also there were no bags to pack them (all people got some bags but they ran out of them) Anyway, dont waste your time and money. Not worthy, specially the so called workshop.
