Very beautiful church that is a nice to see while walking around down town Blois! We even entered on a Sunday no problem. There is netting like other reviewers mentioned - hopefully they will have the budget next year to make the repairs! The church is very large in size and even had a Joan of Arc statue - I think she came here for a blessing before one of her wars. Photos as of May 2018.

Stunning coloured light falls beautifully across the lovely architecture from the unusual stained glass windows. Well worth stopping by for a cool walk round out of the heat. Seek out the blue stained glass windows furthest from the entrance. If you visit later in the afternoon (say 17:45) the light comes through at a lovely angle.

Esta iglesia gótico-romanica está situada en el centro histórico, algo más abajo del Castillo , cerca del río. Tiene una planta y una altura más propia de una catedral que de una iglesia normal. En el interior, algo oscuro, destacan sobre todo sus bonitas vidrieras, las capillas menores, las reliquias de varios santos y un fragmento de la cruz de cristo. La entrada es gratuita, así que merece la pena echarle un ojo.

Die Kirche Saint-Nicolas in Blois, ein architektonisches Juwel, das den Übergang von der Romanik zur Gotik verkörpert, ist bekannt für ihre beeindruckende Sammlung von Glasmalereien. Besucher schätzen die harmonische Atmosphäre und die historische Bedeutung, die sich in den fein geschnitzten Kapitellen und der eleganten Bogengalerie widerspiegelt. Un chef d'oeuvre de l'art roman... malheureusement en péril... si on en juge les filets tendus au-dessus de la nef (la pierre s'effrite, faute d'entretien) ! La ville de Blois qui en charge cet édifice, le néglige, et c'est bien dommage, car cette église est magnifique, tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur. Un incontournable du vieux Blois qu'il faut visiter.
